Okay, so this is my first story in a while. There may be a typo or two, (maybe more....) but if you find one let me know. I read over it but, hey, I don't always catch them. I have a problem with keeping the same tense, so it may be past tense then present. Sorry, working on keeping that normal. Again let me know if you catch this. Sorry it's so short.

' He's still sitting there, as always, but the suns already set.'

Naruto wondered if Sasuke knew he was being watched.

"Sasuke?"

Naruto looked up to Sakura, standing at the bottom of the tree Sasuke was in. She was looking up at him. He was still looking into the distance where the sun had set.

"Sasuke? Are you okay? What's wrong? Sasuke?" Sakura asked. Sasuke still set there, not moving.

"I'm...fine...go...away." He said finally. Sakura looked upset, but she walked away anyway.

' He's speaking like he's in pain.' Naruto thought.

"Naruto...I know you're here." Sasuke looked straight at Naruto. Naruto stood up on the tree branch.

"Sasuke, can I ask you something? And please don't say I just did."

"What is it dobe?" Sasuke asked. standing up. Naruto jump over to the branch Sasuke was on.

"I was...err, I mean...oh never mind." Naruto sighed. Sasuke just looked at him. Naruto sighed again. "I'm sorry Sasuke. Don't hate me."

"What? Why would I hate you? And Why are you sorry? What are you-" Sasuke was cut off by Naruto, who pushed back onto the tree trunk and kissed him. After a few seconds, Naruto let go of Sasuke and wait for him to say something. Sasuke shoved Naruto out of the tree. Then he jumped down in front of Naruto, who had landed on his feet.

"Why did you-" Sasuke started, only to be cut off by Naruto again, but this time not by a kiss.

"Why did I kiss you? I...I love you, Sasuke." Naruto looked down, a light blush on his face.

"That's not what I was going to ask." Sasuke said.

Naruto looked up at him, confused. "Then what were you going to ask?"

"I was going to ask why you waited so long to tell me." Sasuke said.

"I was...afraid." Naruto said, another blush appearing on his face.

"Afraid of what? That I would hate you?" Sasuke asked.

"Well, yeah. You obviously don't love me back. Why did I even tell you? I knew you wouldn't like me back."Naruto said, shaking his head.

"What do you mean I 'obviously don't love you back'? how did you 'know I wouldn't like you back'?" Sasuke said putting the quotation marks in the air with his fingers.

"Well I said I love you and you didn't say it back. You probably like girls anyway. I'm sorry I bothered you." Naruto said, sadly. He turned to leave. Sasuke put his hand on Naruto's shoulder, stopping him.

"I love you, Naruto. There I said it just now. What girl is there to like? Sakura and Ino are crazy, like alot of others here. Tenten is...well she's not my type." Sasuke said.

"Do you mean that Sasuke? Do you love me back?" Naruto said, hope in his voice.

"Of course dobe. Why would I say it if I didn't?" Sasuke said, turn Naruto around.

"I don't know." Naruto smiled. They stood there form a minute. "Hey, Sasuke?"

"What is it dobe?" Sasuke said.

"Why don't you smile?" Naruto asked, tipping his head to the side a little.

Sasuke couldn't help but smile. "I guess I've been to caught up in trying to avenge my clan to smile."

"I love your smile" Naruto said.
