Disclaimer: Oh yeah, I totally own Naruto. I am also the Queen of England, and on top of that, I now own the rights to Harry Potter. Draco Malfoy is rubbing my feet as we speak.

Despite the fact that the Uchiha massacre was so many years ago, there are still some nights where Sasuke jerks awake, gasping for breath and his mind reeling. He hates it; he hates feeling so weak. He hates the fact that no matter what happens, he just can't seem to let go. He hates himself the most because, deep down, he hates being weak in front of his teammates. In the beginning, they were worried, and Sakura fluttered about him nervously, constantly touching his shoulder and inquiring if he was okay. Now, though, they're used to him waking up screaming.

This night was no exception. Uchiha Sasuke found himself sitting upright, trying to remember how to breathe properly. He feels Sakura shift beside him, and then a gentle fist was tugging on his shirt. "Go back to sleep, Sasuke-kun." He glances down at her; her eyes were fuzzy from sleep, and her words were slightly mumbled, but her mind was clear and lucid. Not even half a year ago, he muses, he would have scoffed at her. Now, he gives a resigned sigh and lays back down. She gives a tiny smile and snuggles up closer to him, lying her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes.

"Glad you listened to Sakura-chan, teme." Naruto mumbles, inching closer to Sasuke's body heat. It was March, and as such, mornings were just a tad bit cold.

"Hn." Sasuke mutters, but doesn't object. He listens to the gentle breathing as Naruto drifts off to sleep, and he catches a whiff of Sakura's hair and could smell her shampoo… it was something fruity, perhaps Strawberry. The roseate-haired female hums slightly with contentment and wraps her arms around his waist. Sasuke finds himself not minding and closes his eyes. The next night, with Sakura's back against Sasuke's chest (and his arms, surprise surprise, wrapped around her this time) and Naruto close to Sakura herself, his head lying on her arm while her head was buried in his chest, Sasuke realized he hadn't had a nightmare the entire night.

A/N- Just a random drabble that popped into my mind. Rawr, I love the whole Team Seven thing. And just so you know, this is before the whole Sasuke-leaves-Konoha-and-becomes-an-evil-bastard. And if you look closely, there is some SasuSaku-ness in there. Haha, sorry you guys, you know how much I just absolutely adore that pairing. Oh, and I am hard at work for chapter 11 in FOMD, I'm just having a tiny writers block with it. Please be patient with me, and in the meantime, I hope you enjoyed the way my pathetic little mind works. Review and I'll give you a sugar cookie!
