Professor Membrane had never seen Gaz cry, not even when his wife died. Yet here she was, silently sobbing as they sat waiting. They were in Zim's living room, anxiously waiting. 5 months ago, Dib had come home and came clean with his father. Professor Membrane had been shocked by what his son reviled.

1. Dib was gay.

2. He was dating Zim.

3. Zim was an alien.

4. Dib was 2 months pregnant.

The scientist had promptly passed out, but when he awoke, he smiled and gave Dib a huge hug. Dib had moved in with Zim, and they came over every other day to have dinner. It seemed like life was perfect. Until 4 hours ago, Din went into early labor. He had been with Gaz in his old room when his water broke. Gaz had rushed downstairs to her father, who quickly carried Dib over to Zim's house.

Now Gaz, Professor Membrane, and Gir all waited quietly as they listened to Dib screaming and crying in the bedroom down the hall. Suddenly, Dib fell silent and a baby's wail echoed from the room. Gaz whipped her eyes and sat up straighter on the sofa. Zim's voice called out.

"Gir! Towels! Now!"

Gir leaped off the couch, eyes flashing red.

"Yes Master!"

His eyes became blue again as he rushed off to retrieve more towels. Dib screamed again, drowning out the sound of the baby's cries. His voice dropped away as the crying continued. Professor Membrane sucked in a breath as he heard two, not one, but two babies' crying. Gir rushed out of the room and over to the lab, carrying a bloody towel as he went.

Gaz let out a strangled sob

"Oh god."

Gir appeared after a minute with an IV blood bag. Professor Membrane had to fight a wave of dizzying fear. Several minutes later, Gir walked out of the bedroom and sat down quietly. The two humans were startled on how calm he was. The robot squeaked

"Babies CUTE! But big headed boy sick."

Gaz and Professor Membrane shared a worried look.

Finally Zim stuck his head out and called them over.

"Dib-love will be alright. The almighty ZIM was able to save him and the smeets."

Gaz, Professor Membrane, and Gir walked into the room. Dib was pale and asleep, but stable. Next to him on the bed were two bundles wrapped in pink. Gaz approached them and looked down. They surprisingly looked mostly human, except for the antennas on their head and only four fingers on each hand. One baby yawned, showing pointy teeth, before opening her eyes.

They were honey-brown, Dib's eyes. The other baby gurgled with toothless gums, bright red eyes shining. Each had a small tuff of black hair on their heads. Gaz and Professor Membrane smiled at the two infants. Gir jumped around excitedly.

"What are ya gonna name them mashta?"

Zim smiled and rolled his eyes at the SIR unit.

"I'll let Dib-love decide when he wakes up."
