Title: Good Luck Kisses
Summary: Oliver doesn't believe in Blibbering Humdingers, but he believes in Luna.
A/N: For SilverOwlMalfoy's Roses & Confessions Challenge on HPFC. My pairing was Luna/Oliver, object was a white rose, and location was a Quidditch pitch.
The first time he sees her, it's right before the final battle. She's sickly looking, thin and scarred, but he gains strength from the hope in her big dreamy eyes and serene smile. He hopes they both survive the coming fight; maybe then, he'll get a chance to learn her name.

The next time he sees her is at Harry and Ginny's wedding. He knows her name now; has known it for a while, actually. She's Luna Lovegood, member of Dumbledore's Army and writer for the Quibbler. The past few years have been good to her. She no longer looks wounded, like everyone did after the war; she's healthy and whole. In fact, he can't help but stare at her transformation as she walks down the aisle. She's a vision in yellow; shining like the sun with her creamy skin, shimmery golden bridesmaid dress, and sunflowers in her pale blonde hair.
Sometime during the reception, she approaches him and says in her lilting voice that she doesn't think Puddlemere United will do well this year. He, a bit tipsy, suggests that maybe their luck will change if she gives him a good luck kiss. She goes on her tiptoes and lightly brushes her lips across his cheek before flashing him her brilliant smile and skipping away.

She owls him the next day, requesting an interview, saying that although she's not a big Quidditch fan, some readers of the Quibbler are and they might like a piece about his team's chances for the Cup. He, in reply, writes "Yes, but only if I can take you out for dinner" and she agrees with "It's a date."
During dinner, they both smile and have a lovely time discussing Quidditch and their memories of Hogwarts. She's a few years younger than him, so they don't run in the same circle of friends, but they have a few mutual acquaintances: Harry Potter, George Weasley, Cho Chang. Over dessert, they catch each other up on everyone's life after the war. Even though he discovers that she has daft ideas and she's always known he's a bit obsessive about Quidditch, by the end of the night, they're fast friends.

Somehow, they both end up in Wollongong, Australia at the same time. She's searching for her Crumple-Horned Snorkacks outside of Perth and he invites her to view his team's exhibition match against the Warriors. Remembering their first conversation, she softly kisses his cheek for luck and his shining smile can be seen for miles. Unfortunately, his team loses by 50 points, but he did beat his personal record for most saves in a match.
When she comes down to meet him on the pitch at the end of the game, she hands him a perfect white rose, saying something about how the Blibbering Humdingers might cheer him up, but he doesn't believe in Blibbering Humdingers; he believes in her, with her dreamy head in the clouds, boundless optimism, melodic voice, and beautiful smile. Taking the flower from her hands, he tucks it into her hair and tenderly whispers an "I love you" into her ear.
As he slowly pulls away, she wraps her arms around his neck, rises up on her tiptoes, and places a gentle kiss upon his lips. Looking up at him with twinkly lights in her eyes and a sweet smile on her face, she says, "Thank you, Oliver."
