I'm Lin Wen Yan, daughter of Hecate, goddess of magic. Judging from my name, yes, I'm from China. I sat in meditation in the middle of a grass field. I was trying to harness the power within me. I thought about creating a spirit sword, a power I had from Hecate. I thought about nature, my favourite thing. I thought about controlling nature with my mind. It was my natural power. I usually fought monsters with nature. I controlled nature with my mind. Now, I could use nature to create my spirit sword. I concentrated. I yelled and all the grass around me swirled. Sunlight merged with grass to create a spirit sword. I opened my eyes and panted. That took a lot of my energy. I took hold of my sword. Lin Nao Yan. Lin as in Forest, Nao as in Mind and Yan as in Sun. Forest and Sun stands for nature, which is controlled by my Mind. An ideal spirit sword. I translated it to English and decided its English name would be Nature Mind. I learnt to control my sword without even touching it. When I fought monsters, I would taunt them that I could defeat them without using any limbs and with my eyes closed. I would summon Lin Nao Yan and they would send the monsters to Tartarus. My spirit sword connects to my mind, making it my eyes when I close them. I think there was one time I accidentally came across the titan Iapetus. I used the nature around me to fight him, but he was a titan. In the end, I had to use Nature Mind. I got tons of injuries. It was time to send him to the oblivion. He laughed. "You think you can fight me with no sword? Fat chance!" I stayed calm and cool on the outside, but inside, I was really laughing. "Unfortunately for you, Iapetus, I control Nature. It is my forte! You should have figured out my sword by now." He laughed uneasily. "What? Gaia? Like you can control her." He drove me over the edge. "You forget! Nature is my forte and anything in my mind can be controlled by me! You are in my mind, and you and Nature are my sword!" Realization dawned on him. "Lin Nao Yan!" Grass and light combined, shimmering to form Nature Mind. Along with Iapetus, I managed to give him a huge blow. Like I had said, he was in my mind, thus, I had already wounded him with my mind! In one final strike, he was sent to Tartarus. My clothes, Camp Half-Blood tee and red tights with green knee-length skirt, were covered with monster dust. I brushed my palm against my green-highlighted red hair. It was also covered in dust. Sigh! What a day to be dirty.
