"Hi! I'm Omochao and I'm going to kill you."
The tiny artificial Chao spoke in an increasingly ominous tone as it short circuited and became engulfed in a cloud of purple mist. The demonic, Wisp-like entity known as Time Eater had nearly finished transferring itself from one robotic body to the other before its audience realized what was happening. The aura continued to spread outward, and Time Eater reshaped its new host into a form even more ferocious than the previous. It became a colossal dragon made of warped metal and clock gears, like a bastardized mechanical imitation of Chaos itself. It raised its head, opened its jaws, and let out a roar that sounded like the collected screams of a thousand dying universes.
Dr. Robotnik had just finished climbing out of the smoldering, lifeless remains of Time Eater's former body when he heard the noise. After a quick glance at Omochao's corrupted form, he turned toward his younger twin with a baffled look on his face.
"Umm... is that supposed to happen?"
Dr. Eggman was too horrified to answer. Things were not going according to plan.
Sonic the Hedgehog and his taller, leaner sidekick, Sonic the Hedgehog, were the first to fall. Even in their Super forms, they could not bring the monster down. Exploiting Omochao's own ability of omnipresence, Time Eater was able to constantly stay one step ahead of its opponents and shift itself away from each of their attacks. After it unexpectedly materialized just behind their backs, the two Sonics were unable to escape their fate as it created a gravitational field unto itself and pulled them into its razor-filled mouth. Crushing them in its teeth and swallowing, it absorbed the power of the seven Chaos Emeralds and grew more nightmarish still.
Time Eater roared again, causing the entire dimension to tremble. Small black holes grew in the air around the monster as the fabric of reality began to unravel. With nothing left to defend them, Robotnik, Eggman, and all of Sonic's anthropomorphic friends looked up in unison to meet their apparent demise. Some ran forward to fight destiny until the end, others cowered in fear for their lives, but it was the same for all of them when Time Eater stretched its mouth and lunged toward the ground they stood on.
And then time ceased to exist.
