I'm Not You

Disclaimer: I don't own anything (so sad).

Ever since they reunited, he'd been trapped. He was never supposed to exist, and now he wished he never had. All he was was a body for Sora. Just a worthless meat puppet. He had had two great lives, but now they were over. He had been a greater Nobody. Now that he thought of it, it was better to have activity and no purpose, than purpose but no activity. He had had friends before, too. Hayner, Pence, Olette, even Axel, but that was long ago. Now he just spent his existence here, on some stained glass that marked the greatness of Sora and friends...he wasn't in the picture. Finally, he couldn't take it anymore. He'd find a way out of this prison.

"Sora!", he screamed, "I know you can hear me. Show yourself!" He turned around and there stood Sora, holding the Keyblade in his hand. "Yes, Roxas?" "I'm through being you. I'm not you, and I deserve a life just like everyone else." "I think so, too." "Then why do you keep me locked in here?!", he asked in a rage. "You're not locked in here, Roxas." "Then where's the door?" Sora made a motion with his hand and a door appeared to the right of him.

"If you do go through this door, there's something I need to tell you. A Nobody, even a greater one, can't survive for long. Without a heart, they eventually crumble away. A Heartless can't last either, they need their other half. Merlin and Yen Sid are trying to make it so that we can be separate, or at least switch, but it's hard. Leave if you want. From all the time we've already spent apart, they think we'll have a week."

Roxas walked up to the door and saw Twilight Town on the other side. "Sora, I don't think you'll fade. The keyblade won't let you. But for me...no one would miss me." With those last words, he walked through the door, determined to never go back.

Author's note: This is version 2.0 of this story. I hurried through it the first time and didn't like it, so I did it again. If you like, leave a (polite) review. It's a little OoC, but whatever.
