Have you ever heard the saying "looks can be deceiving"?
Have you ever thought that that saying applies to me?
What about whenever I roll my eyes at you for making another sarcastic comment, despite my slight smile?
Well, that saying does apply to me.
As much as I hate to admit it,
I get butterflies when you smile at me,
I get nervous when you get too close,
I get excited when you make an inside joke with me,
I get lightheaded whenever you reach out and touch me,
That's part of the reason why I pull back.
I get sad when I see you with another girl,
And I dare I even say that I get jealous.
I don't know how to react to things
Because I'm afraid of the outcome.
But now I need to get over my fear before it's too late.
So listen to me now when I tell you,
"I've had feelings for you all along. They've just been hidden."
