A/N: I don't own anything except Kate. She's my OC. I'm working on actually stories with her and Sirius but I won't be posting until I finish them. Thanks for reading!

It had been fourteen years.

Fourteen long, painful, agonizing years.

And she had finally, finally moved on. Let the past be the past.

But here he was. In front of her again.

And she tried. Oh she tried.

But she couldn't ignore the ache in her chest. The erratic beat of her heart thudding against her rib cage. The rushing sound of blood in her ears. The softness overtaking her eyes.

He was intoxicating. Endearing.

Standing there, thin and worn from years in prison and being on the run for the last two years. But still so tall and graceful. Black hair falling gracefully around his face. Grey, eyes yearning for her.

For her.

And she felt her wall crumbling. Her resolve collapsing.

He was here.

And she burned for him.

For him.

She longed to touch him, to kiss him, to hold him again. To laugh and cry and converse with him.

She wanted him.

He wanted her.

But fourteen years stood between them.

And she wanted to cry, laugh, shout.

Because he was here. He came back.

To her.

And she felt her hand twitch. Wanting to grasp his. To bring him closer. To feel his skin flush against hers.

And she wanted him. So badly. And she wanted to run to him.

To him.

And here he was. In front of her. Waiting patiently. So patiently. Watching her apprehensively.

She just had to walk forward. To make the move. To have him. He was waiting.

So she breathed deeply. And took a shaky step forward.

And he stepped forward and pulled her close.

And she wanted laugh, cry, shout. Because he was holding her and she was holding him.

And it felt so damn right.

Because it was him. And it was her.

And they were them.

Together.

After fourteen long, painful, agonizing years.

And it was beautiful, wonderful, delightful, lovely.

Extraordinary.

And his stormy grey eyes locked with her swirling brown and green ones. And the gaze spoke a thousand words. And the warmth of his skin radiated against the nerves of her body, sending a thrill through her spine.

She felt alive, invigorated, exhilarated.

Her soul reawakened. It had been dormant for too long. For fourteen years she thought ruefully.

And he was here. And she was in his arms.

Alive, alive, alive.

And his lips met hers and she felt the shock course through her body. She gasped. He gasped.

Slow, tender, gentle at first became fervent, passionate, heady. And she clung to him and he clutched her.

Fireworks erupted.

And it felt like the first time, but oh so much more incredible

And it was remarkable, marvelous, astonishing, phenomenal.

Him and her.

Sirius and Katie.

Together.
