It was snowing quite a while ago here in Alabama, so I wrote this short story! Enjoy!

Tarrant sat up in his bed, rubbed his emerald eyes, then peered out the window.

He gasped, and saw that the entire courtyard of the White Queen's castle had been covered with a blanket of snow!

He jumped back in the bed, and gently shook his wife Alice's shoulder.

"It's snowing! Look, luv, it's snowing!" he said, with the excitement of a small child.

Alice sat up, and moaned, "What.", but then she saw the beautiful snowfall, and lept out of bed.

An enormous smile spread across her face, then she threw on a dress over her nightgown, and boots and a coat, then ran out of the room.

Tarrant threw on a coat, then ran after her.

He jogged into the courtyard, where he saw Alice staring up at the sky, watching the snowflakes fall. They clung to her eyelashes, and the ends of her hair, and she seemed to glow against the background of the snow-covered trees.

A snowball slammed Tarrant on the back of the head, knocking his hat off onto the ground. He turned around, and another snowball hit him in the chest. He shook the snow off his face, and saw Thackery pointing at him, and guffawing.

Thackery gathered another snowball, and hurled it at Tarrant's head. Tarrant ducked, then heard it thunk into something behind him. He turned around again, and saw Alice laughing with snow all over her face. Tarrant smiled, then pulled his hat back on his head, and ran over to her.

They played in the snow until the White Queen called Thackery in for tea. Tarrant and Alice collapsed in the snow, laughing and playfully throwing snow at each other.

Alice laid on her back, and started making an enormous snow angel. Tarrant stared at her for a while, then asked her, "Luv, what are you supposed to be making?"

Alice laughed and said, "It's a snow angel!" She sat up, careful not to disturb the shape she had made in the snow.

Tarrant squinted, and turned his head, then said, "I guess it looks something like an angel."

Alice smiled, and wrapped her arms around his neck. She whispered into his mouth, "Kiss me, you madman!"

Tarrant smiled, and obeyed.

A/N: I took "Kiss me, you madman" from a fanfic called "Odd", I'm crediting it, so please don't flame me. And to whoever wrote "Odd", it was such a good line, I could not resist! Please R&R!
