Title: The Joker's real name

Author's note: This was lots of fun to write from Harley's POV. I'm just dying to find out what you think of this story so please review if you liked it! And remember I'm using Heath Ledger's Joker.

Summary: A conversation between Harley Quinn and her mother about The Joker's REAL name. One shot.

Disclaimer: The Joker and Harley aren't mine ;) Also read 'Agape' from 'Locked Heart Ami' if you liked this fic!

'Harley, don't you think it's a bit weird you call him mister J? I… I mean he's your lover, so why call him that?'

'Mom, we're just fine calling each other the names we have now.'

'It's a bit formal isn't it? The whole mister thing? He doesn't call you miss either.'

'And I don't want him to.'

'So why do you call him mister?'

'Well, I called him mister at the Asylum and it kind of stuck.'

'Why don't you call him his real name?'

'I asked for his real name at the Asylum and he said it was Jack, but when I kept questioning him about it he said he just felt like a Jack that day.'

'That's weird, honey…'

'But there's most certainly a pattern! Joker, Jack… It's got to be something with a J of course!'

'He should just tell you his real name. I mean, what's he got to hide?'

'Perhaps it refers to a life he doesn't wants to think about anymore. It's very understandable to someone who's had a traumatic childhood.'

'What could that happy bastard possibly be traumatised about?'

'He told me his father was a drinker and beat him up quite regularly. His mom neglected him. He even says sometimes that his father gave him those scars.'

'That's sad… you really think it's true?'

'Mum! Of course it's true! My puddin' would never make these things up!'

'Give him your own name. How about Jay?'

'I already have given him my own name.'

'…'

'Puddin'!'

'Of course, love. But listen to this, what if you call him every name that starts with a J and see to what name he responds? John, Jeremy, Jim, Johan -'

'I don't think he even knows what his real name is…'

The end.

Soooo... in this story The Joker's mind is so fcked-up he doesn't even remembers the real name his parents gave him. What do you think? Make my day and review! :)
