im alive people! hope you didnt think i was dead. major writer's block, plus started at a new school recently so… yeah. well here's a one shot i thought up while listening to one of my favorite songs. if you want you might want to look up the song if you want to listen along. its called Highway Don't Care by Tim McGraw. yes country. my inspiration. Levy ran to her car as fast as she could. not looking back on what just happened. her boyfriend yelling for her to come back. she threw her phone on the passenger seat as she started the car. the purr of the motor was drowned out by the sudden downpour.
as fast as she could, she pulled out of her boyfriend's driveway. gravel crunching under tire. knocking into the mailbox unintentionally.
her phone started to buzz but it soon cut out. one glance told her that the battery just died. pulling on the highway she decided to turn on her radio to drone out the sound of her own crying.
she drove having no idea where she was going. but she knew that she wasn't going to turn back anytime soon. he was just too much of a jerk for his own good. forgetting their 2 year anniversary like an idiot. she had been looking forward to this day for the past few months. hoping that he had something special planned, but he didnt.
the tears continued to drip from her face as she put the pedal to the medal.
the words echoed through her mind. but cut short when she thought of him and his smug grin. it was true though, she couldn't live without him. but could he live without her? taking her eyes off of the road for a second she reached for her phone, thinking it might still be alive.
fumbling with it in trembling hands, she tried it. but sadly it was dead. she stiffened more tears as it dropped into her lap then down her seat out of reach.
pulling off the slick road, she sat and thought about her options. before she did anything she cursed his name as loud as she could. calling him anything that came to mind. not stopping until all her fury was out.
she thought about continuing to her best friend's house. she would always welcome her with open arms. she didn't want to think about going back. but she desperately wanted to give him a piece of her mind.
to block out the sound of the storm she started to sing along to the song.
tears slid down the barrier and she found herself bawling her eyes out in the car. then she finally made up her mind. starting the engine one more time she made a sharp u-turn almost pulling herself off the road. then she headed back. yeah, she wouldn't forgive him for what he did. but she knew that, she couldn't live without him in her life.
she pulled into the driveway and ran inside. the door was unlocked so she had no trouble getting in. he was sitting on the stairs, head in his hands, quietly cursing himself for forgetting. she didn't know how much he beat himself up if anything happened to her.
he heard the door slam shut. he looked up and saw her, with a tear streaked face and red eyes. her cheeks were red from crying and anger burned in her eyes. she stomped over to him, soaking wet from the rain and slapped him as hard as she could across the face.
Gajeel held his stinging cheek and looked at her. "You're an idiot." she whispered. before throwing her arms around him for a hug.
for a second Gajeel was surprised. but then he wrapped his arms around her and pull her in for a hug. hugging her as tightly as he could, i fear that she would disappear on him the second he let go. "i cant live without you, shrimp." he mumbled.
"i accidentally destroyed your mailbox." she whispered in his ear.
