I do not own Emergency! or any of the characters related to the show. The unique characters are however my own.
I do this for fun and as a longtime fan of the show. I know my writing may not always be perfect to their personalities but I do try and my ideas like to run their own course. So while sometimes their personalities may not be perfect I love my stories and enjoy writing them. If you have any comments or positive advice please R&R.

Prologue

Johnny pulled his Land Rover in behind Station 51. He glanced at his watch. Only 10 minutes until roll call. He had better hurry if he didn't want to get stuck with Latrine duty. Roy was just finishing dressing when Johnny skidded into the locker room.

"Morning Junior."

"Morning Pally." Johnny puffed, pulling on his shirt.

After finishing his designated chore for the day Johnny slumped off to the bunkroom. His days off had been awful.
Some idiot had run a red light narrowly avoiding imapct with the driver side of Johnny's vehicle. To make matters worse he could't even take a warm shower. Something was up with the electrical in his apartment and his manager was on vacation for another two weeks. He had managed with cold cuts, cold showers and alot of blankets in his 3 days off. He was looking forward to a warm shower and some restful sleep while on shift.

It was times like these he wished he had family he could turn to.

Another thing that plagued him was that Kolton's funeral was fast approaching.

Kolton Matthews had been one of Johnny's best friends since he had moved off of the reservation. Kolton had been 28 and had been a cop for 7 years. He had been a great cop and a terrific friend. It should have been a simple traffic stop,

just a simple warning about the drivers speed. It seemed nothing was simple anymore.

The driver had a colt action revolver and blew Kolton's brains out all over the highway. Kolton had only his sister to speak of so Johnny had helped her plan the funeral. That was a day he was not looking forward to.

How do you say goodbye to a friend that has been there for you when you had no one else, who has saved your ass a few more times than you deserved. He knew this would be one of the hardest things he had ever done.

His Aunt Molly, the only member of his family that hadn't disowned him, had passed away 3 short months after he had left the reservation. He could talk to Roy,
he though to himself, but that thought was quickly dismissed. Roy listened to his constant complaining while they were on shift, he didn't need to bother him with this.

Johnny sighed, laying back on his bunk. Sometimes he wondered, why he trudged through life day by day, while things seemed to deterioate around him. That was Johnny's last thought as sleep overcame him.
