A/N: This is an AU where Lily's father physically abuses her for being magical and how she reacts. Based off the song Too Beautiful by He is We. Twigger Warning: Abuse.

Of course it happened when she least expected it. She could be merely sitting at the kitchen table having her breakfast, or sitting on the couch watching cheesy cartoons, but it always did happen. Sometimes he'd drag her by her vibrant auburn hair and pull her to the ground, or sometimes he'd grab a knife and leave a cut on her thighs or hip. The marks would always turn into bruises that she would later have to hide under fabric from her clothing or a thick layer of make up. But even covered, the were still there. As soon as you'd think they were gone, he'd snap again.
His wife would grab their other daughter and hide, no one could stop him. He was a fit man, you see, former Marine. Religious and stuck in his ways. She, whom was forced to withstand the beatings, was also forced to deal with the emotional scars herself. No one was there. Ever. Her best friend had to withstand abuse of his own, together they supported each other were happy. Well, happier. But even the best of friends leave, too. People take different paths, it happens.
Though, this spectacular and sad girl was still able to maintain high grades, good friends, and a headstrong attitude even with her past. She never became the victim, which is why she was placed in Gryffindor, where the dwell brave at heart at Hogwarts, school of witchcraft and wizardry. Where she spent most of the year away from her family.
Memories of each beating haunted Lily Evans, each and everyone. You see, ever since this extraordinary girl and her family discovered that she was a witch her sister and her father didn't take it all too well. Petunia, her older sister and once her best friend, verbally abused and bully Lily for being different, her father on the other hand not only verbally abused her, but resorted to physically abusing her, too.
Mister Evans was a strict man who was too caught up in his beliefs that witchcraft was a sin to see how he was hurting his daughter, a girl he loved to death. For she was his delicated flower, his baby girl who inherited his deep emerald eyes.
Every beating left another mental scar. As Lily stood in front of the mirror, she looked less alive than ever. Slowly lifting up her shirt revealing splotches of blues and blacks mixed with cuts that were as red and vibrant as her own hair. On her side there were five red and sore branded fingers upon her skin. Her once thick hair looked thin, chunks pulled out. She's feeling it all now, but she doesn't cry. After receiving this abuse for six years she knew tears were useless.
Lily turned to her wooden side table, picked up her wand and slipped it in her back pocket, pulling her shirt over it. She crept out of her room, and crept downstairs to the living room, which was infested with pink floral print and a long shag carpet, she spotted her father having a cold beer while lounging on the couch. Her mum and sister left when he began to beat her again. Lily's mum was a timid lady and if she couldn't protect both of her children, she'd be damned if she couldn't protect one.
Creeping behind him slowly, she snatched her wand from her back pocket, raising it up so that the tip was pointed at the back of his head. The man who had made her have trust issues, relationship issues, and so much more. The man who claimed to love his youngest daughter, but still beat her till she was barely alive. With two words Lily made his life end;
"Avada Kedavra," Hissed Lily, and that's all it took. In a matter of seconds, Mister Evans, father of Lily and Petunia Evans, was dead.
