Runaway – A Tratie fanfiction

Katie Gardner was just lying down on her bed, thinking about Travis Stoll.

As much as she didn't want to admit it, she liked the way he smiles, he laughs, the way he calls her Katie-Kat when he teases her, and for the part she won't tell anyone, even Miranda: She loves him for who he is, even if he pranks often.

Sighing, she turned on her mp3 player and played a song which fit her perfectly.

"From London to Paris, from Berlin to Rome

You're searching for something, a place to call home."

She heard that story multiple times from Travis. Both Travis and Connor were on the run from the police ever since they were kids. They traveled from Washington to Arizona, Iowa to finally, New York, where a satyr found them and took them to camp.

"Been hiding your feelings, went out of control,

Your destination unknown."

Along the way, they learned how to hide their feelings through pranking. And when they arrived at Camp Half-Blood, they had so many emotions kept hidden; the pranks went out of control. But as time passed, they focused so much on the Demeter and Aphrodite cabins occasionally, some of the campers thought that they had a crush there. Unfortunately for Katie, they worked together so closely that nobody could tell who had a crush on whom…

She asked Travis over and over again as to why he won't accept the Aphrodite girls' desperate pleas to go on a date with them. But over and over again, Travis would always reply that he was waiting for someone to tell him "I love you." Katie was secretly jealous. Who is the lucky girl who secretly won Travis Stoll's heart? Katie decided not to ask.

"A new town, a new place, a knock on the door

You came as a stranger and entered the door."

The first time Katie met Travis was when she gave him a tour of camp. Strangely, Travis and Connor split up for the tour. Connor went to the Aphrodite cabin and met Serafina. Travis was just stupidly walking around when he saw a very peculiar cabin with grass on its roof. He just knocked on the door. Katie answered when Travis asked if he could come in. Seeing that he was obviously a half-blood, Katie allowed him to come in, with Jezebel's permission of course.

"The moment I saw you, I knew it for sure

You won't pack your bags, anymore."

Although Katie won't admit it, she fell for Travis on first sight, as cheesy as it sounds. When she saw him, she could tell that he was the one, although she doesn't know why. But one thing was for sure. Travis and Connor were known for running away, but this time, they wouldn't

"I know that you don't want to be a bother, though your love's so undiscovered

I want you to stay boy, stop running away from love."

(Repeat chorus)

These are the words that Katie has always wanted to tell Travis, but somehow, she couldn't. As the song ended, she just sighed and thought more about Travis Stoll: the guy who had won her heart from the start.

I just thought of this idea at school, and immediately worked on it during classes. Unfortunately, my notebook suffered the pain. Thank goodness that the teachers didn't notice.
