Summary: "What kind of man would I be if I didn't tell you first date protocol?" It's Sam's first date and Dean gives him some points on what to do. "Don't freak out when her dad pulls you to the side and threatens you." Teenchesters! One-shot.
"I'm not going anywhere", said Sam Winchester, staring at the door with unease.
His older brother rolled his eyes. "Yes, you are", he said sternly. "You never stand up on a girl, on her first date, Samuel. It's a rule of dating."
"Well then", replied Sam. "I don't want to date. I'm only fifteen. I've got all my life ahead of me so-"
"Shut up", smiled Dean. "It's OK to be nervous, kiddo. It is a big deal, you know."
Sam sighed. "Why did I even ask her out?" he said.
"You like her."
"So? I could have continued to like her from a far if you hadn't butt in."
"I was doing you a brotherly favour. You could be a bit more grateful, you thankless brat."
"I'm not a brat!" exclaimed Sam. "I just don't think this is gonna end well."
Dean refrained the urge to roll his eyes once more. His younger sibling was such a dramatic person. "You're not going to know how it ends", he said. "If you don't go." He took a few steps forward and ushered Sam out the door. "Let's go."
The ride to Sam's date's house was a short one. And quiet too. Once they were parked at her door, Dean turned to face his brother. Looking the younger boy in the eye, he said, "Don't freak out when her dad pulls you to the side and threatens you."
"What?" gulped Sam. "I thought that only happens in movies."
"It happens in real life", replied Dean. "And you need to be prepared. Give the dude a firm handshake and don't quiver under his stare. Show him that you're worth his daughter."
"Alright. What else?"
"Open the door for your girl."
"She's not my girl."
"Not yet", corrected Dean. "But she will be by the end of tonight."
"I hope so", mumbled Sam.
"Anyway, be polite at all times", went on Dean. "Compliment her on her clothes, smile your goofy smile, hold her hand in the cinema but don't attempt to put your hands down her pants."
"What?" cried Sam. "I'd never do that!"
"She'll kick you in the balls", said Dean nonchalantly. "She might not but you should be safe rather than nursing a groin injury."
"DEAN!"
"It's my duty to tell you what may or may not happen."
"I can see her from the upstairs window", said Sam excitedly. "Should I go in now?"
"Go ahead", said Dean.
Sam opened the door to the Impala's passenger seat and jumped out. "I'm kinda nervous but also excited now", he said.
"That's how you're supposed to feel", nodded Dean.
"OK", Sam took a deep breath, turning towards the house. "I'm going in."
"Good luck bro."
"Thanks. I'll be needing it."
"And Sam?"
"Yeah?"
Dean smirked, ruffling his brother's hair. "You're not allowed to put your hands in her pants but that doesn't mean you can't kiss her", he said. "What I'm saying is: kiss her."
"You're telling me to kiss her?"
"What kind of man would I be if I didn't tell you first date protocol?"
Sam shook his head. "I don't kn-"
Dean cut in. "Shut it. You'll thank me later."
A first date is a rite of passage, ain't it? How did your first date go? Were you nervous? Excited? Who gave you some points on dating? I can imagine Dean giving Sam these points so I just HAD to write this.
Other than that, today's my birthday so I'm writing up a whole bunch of one-shots for different archives.
Please review. Reviews= birthday presents :)
Thanks!
