*I do not own Star Wars: the Clone Wars or any of it's characters*

Barriss Offee was troubled. But... who wasn't? These were dark times, as Master Yoda had said. They could all see it. Even the younglings had sensed the turmoil stirring in the Force.

But what they couldn't see was the cause. She, however, wasn't so blind.

The Jedi were causing the disturbance. They had fallen from their morals of peace and justice, they had fallen the moment they stepped into this conflict. Barriss knew all this. What she didn't know, was how to stop it. She needed to open their eyes to the terrors they were creating.

The Jedi Order had stood by the Republic for thousands of years, but things change. She needed a way to show them this. The Republic they had stood by was gone. In its place was something dark.

But their all too blind to see it.

It frustrated her to no end, how the Council sat up there in their tower, sending so called 'peace keepers' all across the galaxy to fight a war they should have no part in. They try to please a selfish, corrupt senate, without a single thought as to the consequences for the people. In her view they were no better than the Separatists.

What can I do? Something extreme needed to be done. Something to get their attention. The only way she could think of to do that was to bring the destruction and violence to them, give them a taste of what the rest of the galaxy felt.

But how?

An attack. An attack on their precious temple, a bomb. Sudden, unexpected, just like this war.

Barriss was taken aback. Her thoughts had become more violent over the past months, but had never been this rash. She pushed that to the back of her mind. This was her answer, a way to finally get through to them. Acquiring the explosives would be simple, but the Jedi, however shortsighted, weren't dumb. They'd be able to trace it to her.

Unless they thought someone else did it. But who? It needed to be someone who trusted her, someone who wouldn't think to accuse her. Young, naïve.

Ahsoka Tano.

Barriss hesitated, the young Togruta was one of her only friends. It felt wrong to betray her trust. What had Ahsoka ever done to her? But she's a Jedi. She trusts you with her life, it would be so easy.

The Jedi needed to go, Tano would just be doing the universe a favor by taking the fall. She stamped out her previous hesitance, convincing herself that this was right. This had to be done, and no one else was going to do it.

They were all expendable pawns in this war, destined to die in a twisted game.

Ahsoka Tano was no different.
