Hey! This is my first One Hundred Word Drabble! +whoot whoot!+ Hope you all enjoy because it took me all of the night before and then all of this morning to get it down to one hundred words. I hope you like it! The quote is from the movie, Boys and Girls, with Freddie Prinze Jr. I recommend that you all see it! See ya over at 52 Days!
Disclamer: I don't own Lily, James or the quote...but I do own the resturant that they are at...hehe
"…when all of a sudden this couple comes through carrying these bags of laundry. Betty just started crying. I asked her, "What's wrong?" And she said,
"We never get to do our laundry together."
"She was right. We never did get to do our laundry together, and that was it."
"You broke up because of laundry? I send mine out."
"Not laundry, exactly. Just, all the things couples do together, that couples should do together…"
Laundry
Lily wanted to ask James, tell him…but couldn't. This would mark the next step in their relationship. He would think nothing of it, but to her…it meant everything.
Lily tuned back in to what James was talking about. Quidditch, the only thing ever on his mind.
"…and then a bludger came hurling-"
"I WANT TO DO LAUNDRY WITH YOU, JAMES!"
Everyone in the restaurant stared at the couple.
Maybe that wasn't the best-
"You want to move in with me?"
Lily nodded solemnly.
"I've been trying to think of a way all night. The words just wouldn't come to me!"
