The Next Chapter

Author's Note: If you have chosen to read this, good for you. If you are going to ask what happen to the original 'The Next Chapter', I deleted it. I tried so hard to picture a McAbby future, but every time I did it would always have a sad ending. I decided to go with McGiva. I know they will never end up together, but in my stories, they do. In my stories, McGee and Ziva are already established. I plan to write more stories in this universe called the "Next" universe and it will have a very big surprise in a future story. But enough of this, you have been reading this long enough, on with the show.

He was the first one to welcome her, while the rest of the team was suspicious. She proved herself enough times to finally earn their trust, but she never had to prove herself to him, because he had already placed his trust in her on the first day. Somebody might say it was stupid to do so, but in the end, it seemed to be the right move to do.

They weren't sure when or how it happened, but one day they saw themselves differently. They thought, worried and cared about each other more then usual. They spent time together outside of work, she taught herself more about computers and he learned how to speak Hebrew. Their teammates suspected something was going on between them, but she assured them there was nothing going on; because she wasn't sure of her feelings for him.

It took a gun shot to his chest to make her realize what has happened to her. After working together for years and the time spent outside of work with him, she had fallen in love and she had to tell him.

Seeing the man she loves laying in a hospital bed, connected to machines and breathing through a mask; it was breaking her heart. She sat at his side for three days, not wanting to leave until he woke up. On the fourth day, she took his hand into hers and declared her love for him, but nothing. She believed her proclamation of love fell on deaf ears, afraid that he may never awake. She lowered her head, she didn't want anyone to see the tears falling down her face. She looked back up when she felt her hand tighten. He held her hand, opened his eyes slightly and looked directly at her.

"I love you too Lisa."

Everybody who worked with or knew of them believed Officer Lisa would be with Agent Tommy and Agent McGregor with Amy Sutton, how wrong they were.

McGregor and Lisa 's future is uncertain, but it may end up surprising them and all those around.

Timothy McGee looked away from the pages and turned to the woman he is sharing his bed with, "So tell me, what do you think of the next chapter?"

Ziva McGee sat up, "I think it's the best chapter you have written," she said to him with a smile. She brought her face closer to his, their lips meeting in a deep kiss. Ziva placed her hand on his chest, feeling the bullet wound through his shirt on his left side.

They parted for air, Ziva grabbed his hand and placed it on her heavily pregnant belly, "I think someone else likes it too."

Tim could feel the baby moving, "I think he really likes the next chapter."

"She," Ziva said, "She really likes it. We are having a daughter, " She told her husband.

Tim smiled at his wife, "Ani ohev otakh."

"Ani ohevet otkha," Ziva said to him and shared another kiss, "Your Hebrew is getting better."

Author's Note: I want to know what you, the reader really think. Usually I don't allow flames for my stories and I still won't. But I will allow constructive criticism. I'm not fluent in Hebrew, but I hope I got it right.
