Unrequited: Naruto's Side of the Story
…
I don't get it. I just really don't.
As I sit here in my own personal spot under the tree, I watch as you "shyly" approach him, ready to offer a share from the meal that I worked so hard on this morning (I have band-aids on my fingers, if you want proof.).
Really, if I knew he was going to eat it instead of you, I would've "accidentally" put on some laxatives on the rice balls.
Hey, don't blame me; pulling a prank on that ass is bound to be interesting.
And speaking of the devil, I glance back to his direction. His arms were crossed over his chest and he was wearing the usual stupid stony expression in his equally stupid pretty boy face.
What? It's not like I'm a member of his fan-club or something.
As I look at him I try to figure out what makes you, Ino, and all the other girls back at the village go gaga over him.
Okay, I get the whole I'm-too-cool-for-you exterior but geez… You girls practically worship the ground he walks on.
Although, I gotta admit, I sometimes find myself wishing that I was him.
Big shocker there, right?
But I couldn't help it, you know? I sometimes think that if you only gave me even a slither of the attention that you give him, then you'll have somebody you can actually have a conversation with, instead of the typical glare and cold silence you receive from that bastard.
It's true that I'm no knight-in-shining armor. I'm not some born genius or prodigy. I even doubt that I'm dream boy material.
But I could at least try.
I'd do anything for you.
…
Yuri-chan's note: This has got to be the least angsty part in the Unrequited series. Anyway, it's typical for Naruto to be like this right?
At least, that's my opinion…
Please review! It would mean so much.
