Light started a bit at the other man's admission, "You…don't know?"
"Does Yagami-kun know?" Came the monotonous, yet still vaguely mocking, reply.
"N-no, I don't," The younger sheepishly admitted, blaming the early hour for being so off-guard as to stutter.
L popped three Maraschino cherries into his mouth and violently ground them up into a bright red, gory mess before answering.
"Although I may be a genius Raito-kun, that does not mean I have specific knowledge on everything in this world; this includes many things, but more relevant to our situation, obscure Jamaican slang."
Light leaned back in his chair, trying to surreptitiously stretch and cover the yawn he could feel building up in the back of his throat. He looked over at L, who was sitting in his usual hunched position on the bed.
"Then only way to move forward with the case is to find out what it means. Know where to start?"
"Of course," L steadied the laptop on his knees and began typing furiously, "First I will check Urban Dictionary. If nothing can be found there, I will go to Wikipedia."
