Meiko stretched her arms, the fine crack of locked joints bringing about slight relaxation. "Whoa there, be careful where you sling those weapons." A nearby soft tone scolded her with a playful jingle ringing at the voice's declaration. The voice held a tangy mixture of Japanese and English accents. It was Megurine Luka; the slightly uptight, easily worried, and icily cold teenage junior who managed to become Meiko's best friend.

"Keep up the talk; I might "accidently" hit you." Meiko retorted with a sly grin, reaching over to take a good swing at Luka's head. Luka agilely dodged the thwack, taking Meiko's wrist into her strong grip in the process. "Or maybe I'll take your chance." Luka snapped, mimicking Meiko's grin, using her free hand to whack Meiko on the side of her head. Most would call it a Gibbs smack, thank you~. (Whaddup, NCIS reference!~)

"Ow! Damn it Luka. You don't have to be so mean…" Meiko pouted, pulling her wrist free from the other's deathly clutch and shutting her locker closed, twisting the lock a few times to jumble up the combination. Luka and Meiko both tightly held their books and strolled down the halls on their way to their following class. Loud wolf whistles could be heard when they passed, probably from the naturally horny jocks that couldn't seem to keep their dicks in their pants even if they tried. Girls on the other hand darted envious daggers in their direction. "Damn, the girls are getting more and more jealous by the minute. Is there some special occasion?" Meiko casually flipped her third finger at a huge amount of the female population glaring down at them like hounds, which in return earned a few finger flips and most jaw drops and popularity gasps. Whilst doing that, she cradled her books in her right hand.

"Maybe it's because they're afraid that the new guy is gonna fall head over heels for you~." Luka giggled as Meiko flushed a ripe strawberry red. What the hell is Luka anyway? Is she a local gossip inquirer? "S-Shut up…I doubt that he'll even look in my direction. I bet by now he knows who's top dog and not to look her in the eye." Meiko clicked her tongue and replied with disinterest. With that, Meiko used her hips to butt Luka to the right, pushing her out into the open crowd of people shrouding the hallway.

"Oh you know you're lying, the blush written on your face says otherwise~." Luka steamed but couldn't help but giggle at the way Meiko's eyes went as wide as saucers. "Shut up Megurine!" The brute hissed as if scalded by flames while Luka mischievously snickered.

"Since when did we get a new student anyway? It's halfway through the year. You'd think someone wouldn't want to put themselves in the spotlight like this." Meiko grumbled, strolling past more hordes of students with Luka firmly stuck to her side.

"First of all, it's only November, second I don't know actually. Rumor has it that he's pretty hot though. All I've heard so far is that he has blue hair, wears glasses, and a scarf." Luka shrugged; giving Meiko subtle side glances as she kept her focus out of the 3rd floor windows, which gave a great view of soon-to-be-late freshman as they darted for the doors. Meiko shrugged off what Luka said and turned on her heels, going to opposite direction of her companion.

"You're going the wrong way, math is that way." Luka used an index finger to point to the correct direction, clicking her tongue in annoyance and rolling her eyes when Meiko began with her natural ignorance. As if the brunette was a lost child, Luka had to seize Meiko's hand and tug her into the classroom.

"I don't wanna learn today, Luka!" Meiko whined, attempting to dig the heels of her sneakers into the floor. Reluctantly, she entered the classroom but kept clawing for freedom. "Stop whining. Now go out there and clean up your act!"~' Luka chuckled playfully, pushing Meiko out into the hall when she caught the brute off guard.

Either Luka is psychic and knows what she's doing or Fate was just a bitch. I choose the latter. Meiko had bumped into someone when falling, and of course she brought whoever was unfortunate enough to be in her aim down with her.

Meiko was supporting herself with her elbows firmly on the cold concrete floor. Her legs were kind of raised, her knees buckling and jutting slightly inwards. She opened her half lidded eyes to see a hazy, blue haired guy on top of her. He looked totally lost and nervous. His hands were daringly close to hers, his arms keeping general support of his torso. His knees were on the outskirts of Meiko's legs. Meiko hated the shell shocked and interested expressions she was receiving from others.

She was inactive and frozen to where she lay. Meiko was captivated by his azure irises that hovered inches away from her own eyes. Their faces were only centimeters apart. She finally got to her senses. She harshly shoved him away from her, getting to her feet and glaring at him as he dusted off his pants. "What the fuck!? Who are you?" Meiko screeched, obviously trying to seem malicious. Teachers stopped in their tracks to listen in on the conversation, alarmed by the profanity. As a teacher's motto goes, profanity always starts fights.

"I-I'm so sorry! I'm S-Shion Kaito. Nice to meet you..?" He pushed his glasses back up the arch of his nose so that they were no longer perched on the bridge. Meiko balled her hands into fists and clenched her teeth, but a solid blush was spread across her cheeks in embarrassment.

For once, she found herself speechless. "W-Well…Watch where y-you're going next time...A-Asshole!" This was certainly tarnishing to Meiko's image. She was the junior at the top of the food chain for crying out loud! You can only imagine how embarrassing it is to get pinned to the ground by the new kid. Now rumors will spread and her reputation will begin figure skating on thin ice.

"I-I will." Kaito stuttered while reaching down to retrieve Meiko's textbooks and politely handing them back to her. Kaito's lips twitched upwards, genuinely presenting to Meiko a heartwarming smile. "I'll be more careful next time. W-What's your name?" He was fairly inquisitive. "M-Meiko…" She mumbled, turning ever so slightly to the right to avoid eye contact only because her blush was still pretty evident.

"I-I'll be sure to give you a much more promising apology, Meiko. Again, I am truly sorry for bumping into you. I sure can be an idiot sometimes." He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. Meiko looked down, avoiding gaze with him. He was kind of cute, but she was NOT going to let Luka's words hit her. 'Fall head over heels for you~.' They were mocking her! Mocking her I tell you!

"Well, see you later Meiko!" He scurried off down the hall in a bustle, dropping his books and bag in the process. As he knelt down to retrieve them he looked back at her to see she was attempting to hide a giggle. How cute~. She heard the hushed whispers behind her from several girls, all either bad mouthing her or questioning her giggling fit. She scoffed, ignoring them and stalking back into the classroom. Everyone resumed on with their life, now that that slight juicy bit of drama was through with.

"I. Am. Going. To. Kill. You!" Meiko stomped furiously towards Luka, whom was burying her face in a book and attempting to ignore Meiko. It was obvious that Luka's shoulders were moving. She was probably giggling. Meiko slammed her fists down on the desk and grabbed a fistful of Luka's pastel pink locks, forcing her to immediately drop the book.

"Goddamn, let go!" Luka slapped at Meiko's hand, digging her nails into the flesh until Meiko freed her hair from the deathly grasp. "Fucking bitch. I practically set you up with the new guy. I would love to hear a "thank you so much, Luka! I will love you forever and I'll marry him!'" Luka mocked her. Luka was currently pouting, arms folded across her chest. Luka always hated it when people tugged her hair. You would think Meiko would've been offended with Luka calling her a bitch, but it was simply just how their relationship functioned. They could insult each other and it would feel like a bitter slap across the face, but wouldn't damage their friendship.

"Maybe if this works out..I won't attempt to murder you," Meiko chided through gritted teeth until she noticed Luka raise both eyebrows and smile slyly. That was when Meiko figured that she misinterpreted her words. "Not like that! I'm not going to date him! I mean if all these rumors that have started will blow over! Geez…" Meiko looked away from her friend and folded her arms childishly, mumbling incoherent words under her breath.

"Okay, Okay. Whatever floats that piece of shit boat of yours~." Luka shrugged, smirking at her friend as she watched Meiko take her seat beside her. All chatter was broken apart in the classroom when someone slammed the classroom door open, looking rather exhausted.

"Aw, look Meiko! It's your boyfriend!" Luka whispered into Meiko's ear, giggling to herself when the brunette shot daggers at her. She was going to be murdered at the hands of the brute eventually, but for now, she might as well have her fun. Meiko scoffed, ignoring her friend and looking back up at the sapphire haired new guy as he looked flustered and attempted to talk to Kiyoteru- Excuse me! I mean "Hiyama-sensei".

"I'm so sorry I was late sensei, you see, I'm new here, so I'm pretty confused with the layout..." Kaito rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly, his cheeks flushing. "Very well then, I will be your mathematics teacher, Hiyama-sensei." He fixed his glasses and smiled politely at Kaito, patting the sapphire haired male lightly on the shoulder.

"Kiyoteru, quit the "sensei" bullshit, it annoys me." Meiko hissed, lolling her head around for a few moments as she shot daggers back at Kiyoteru. His eyes went wide in shock from the disrespect.

"Meiko! Do I have to give you another suspension?" He asked, thrusting a finger in her direction. Meiko shrugged and shifted uncomfortably in her seat before slamming her feet on the desk and whipping out a piece of her favorite gum; Big Red. Kiyoteru looked about ready to explode. Instead, he rubbed his temple and clicked his tongue in annoyance, following it with a sigh.

"Sakine, if you wanna play ball then fine!" Kiyoteru paused mid-rant to think up a punishment. He looked around the room, glancing at the students until his eyes landed on Kaito. Jackpot. Meiko felt her stomach churn uneasily. Meiko turned to see Luka darting daggers at her, but fact of the matter was you could see the worry embedded deep in her icy colored orbs. Luka was always a worrisome girl, so Meiko tried her hardest to never rattle her hard shelled friend's cage.

Kiyoteru's stern voice reverberated around the room once more. Meiko felt her blood run cold and shivers jolt down her spine. She hated showing her fear, so she managed to square her shoulders and broaden her eyebrows to look unaffected by what Kiyoteru was about to waste his time saying. "Meiko, you shall be showing our new student, Kaito, around the school. It seems he's having trouble finding his classes. So why don't you go ahead and help him out? I will not be giving you late passes to your classes, so I suggest you keep a skip in your step." Kiyoteru turned his back on her and picked up his Expo marker to scribble more of an equation down on the board.

Meiko huffed and leaned back into her chair once more, crossing her arms defiantly over her chest. "That's not fair. What if his class is half way across the fucking school? I don't care if I'm late for class or not, but that is pretty unfair to tell me to cope with it. I mean, this means I could be late for class for about a week." Some girls giggled at Kiyoteru's dumbfounded face yet most growled at Meiko in envy. Meiko got to be with the surprisingly good looking new guy? How lucky of her most would say, but this was like a curse on Meiko's part.

"Either this or community service the entire summer break. I don't mind taking away your freedoms." Kiyoteru pressed further on the subject, still not fully acknowledging her existence, back turned to her. He was obviously a teacher who didn't tolerate students for long, so it was a wonder how he dealt with Meiko. She scowled, but Kiyoteru's expression reminded her much of a rock; blank and lifeless. "Fine, don't expect me to do what you say anymore. Don't expect me to show up to this class either." Meiko warned him with a scowl.

"Alright Kaito, since Meiko is going to be showing you around, go sit in the empty seat beside her." His face scrunched back into the façade of a well-mannered, kind man. Kaito nodded his head and walked through the rows of desks, girls occasionally grabbing at his hips. 'Sluts.' Meiko rolled her eyes at the other girls. He strolled over to sit at the empty desk to the right of Meiko. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Kaito blankly staring at her with his azure eyes.

Meiko squirmed under his gaze. "Alright, now that that drama scene is over, let's get started with the lesson shall we? Ok so first off-" Kiyoteru grabbed his Expo marker and book full of lesson plans and then looked up to the clock above his desk, letting out a depressed sigh. "Well, looks like thanks to Sakine's outburst, we don't have enough time for a lesson! 30 minutes will certainly not do. We'll hardly get through the lesson with that amount of time."

Meiko snickered under her breath, her eyes falling on a paper ball that sat idly on the floor. She picked it up and tossed it up in the air for a moment, getting a good grip before chucking it at Kiyoteru. He luckily dodged by ducking behind his mahogany desk. Meiko had finally broken his shell, shoving a stake into the soft skin underneath. Kaito meanwhile turned to Meiko with a friendly smile.

"Hi, Meiko. Good to see you again." He couldn't help but chuckle. Meiko blushed, looking away from his gaze. He blinked confusedly for a moment before extending a hand to her.

"How about I start over? I'm Kaito. Nice to meet you!" He offered a toothy grin. Meiko spat a signature scowl at him before reluctantly shoving her hand into his. His hands were very soft. They almost felt callous free. She shook a few times before pulling her hand free from his and turning to Luka, who was shoving her face back into Pride and Prejudice. Meiko scowled and tapped the cover of the book; it was a hardback copy, so it sounded like she was knocking.

"What do you want, Meiko?" Luka uninterestedly answered her after several "knocks", but refused to close her book.

"Yeah, hi. Is Megurine Luka there or she busy reading stupid shit?" Meiko chuckled and glanced at Kaito out of the corner of her eye. He was smiling at her with a usual grin. Meiko became flustered momentarily, but became hyped once more when Luka dog-eared the page she was on and slammed her book closed, glancing at Meiko with icy daggers wielded in her eyes.

"Pride and Prejudice is not crappy, thank you! Pride and Prejudice is a very elite book! I read the first 2 pages and was already hooked! It is a very sweet story and enchants you to open your eyes and gain experience of the world of which a man loves a girl. This book conveys the feelings and emotions of all its different characters at high quality and charms all of its readers with the liveliness of Elizabeth Bennet, the misunderstood character of Mr. Darcy, the beautiful, sensible Jane, and the agreeable Mr. Bingley as well as all the other characters. This book, with its many different types of characters is definitely a must read for everyone. The authoress did an outstanding job with individualizing each character, and to hear you call this book such a foul word is very appalling! Besides, it is still a very popular book and continues to stay at the top of the "most loved books" list! This book has sold just about 20 million copies worldwide, so at least show Jane Austen some respect for her beloved literary art!"

Meiko decided that that was her cue to back off. She grumbled incoherent words and held her head low as the class had died down their chatter to listen to Luka rant. Meiko sulked. She had just walked into that one. Luka was very precise when it came to her literature, so you shouldn't fuck with her about books. Especially not Pride and Prejudice.

After the rant was disregarded everyone fell back into their own conversations. Meiko only glanced at Luka every now and then. Kaito had long walked over to Luka to introduce himself, so he at least chilled her attitude at the moment.

"Hello Luka, I'm Kaito. It's nice to meet you." Kaito extended his hand and grinned at Luka. The classy young woman looked up from the novel once more and looked confused before warmly smiling back at him and placing her dainty hand in his.

"Nice to meet you too, Kaito."

"You're very intelligent. I'm pretty jealous of your vocabulary. You come across as very classy."

"Aw, thank you!" Luka gushed at the compliment. It made Meiko sick to see Luka acting so much like her mother. You see, Luka's mother hated Meiko. She had always thought she was a bad influence on Luka. Luka's mother was also a very high quality woman. Everything in her home had to have been more than 50 bucks, and she couldn't go shopping at a thrift shop without grimacing and feeling out of place and feeling as if the others around them were either poor or commoners.

Meiko was also growing sick by the attention Kaito was giving Luka instead of her. She doesn't know why, but Meiko has to say that she can occasionally be an attention seeking whore. Seeing Kaito give Luka more attention just kind of ticked her off, I guess.

"Class dismissed!" Kiyoteru called after glancing at both the clock and the finished equation on the board. Oh well, while next class gets to deal with Kiyoteru's constant complaining about the first core class AND with the actual lesson, Meiko could go free without any homework and Kiyoteru's insistent babbling.

Hordes of students crammed into the hallway, making it difficult to slip through the crowd. Right now it was time for juniors to go to their elective classes. Shoving her way through the crowd, Meiko found herself knocked over by a passerby and falling into the arms of Kaito, whom was stalking close behind her. She gasped and couldn't help but flush.

"You okay, Meiko?" Kaito's eyebrows knit together and mouth went slightly agape; he looked worried. He firmly kept hold of Meiko's forearm and her waist. She turned her face away from his. The blush wasn't going to die down anytime soon. She harshly shoved him away from her.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks Idiot." Meiko mumbled, looking away from him with a still very visible flush. Kaito actually matched the rumors perfectly. He had vivacious sapphire hair, modernly shaped glasses and looked extremely hot.

"Okay, that's good. So what class do you have next?" Meiko was about to reply with a sharp comment until she briefly remembered that she was directing him to his classes. 'Goddamn! I guess I will be watching this idiot after all...' Meiko pitied herself via her thoughts. Another arm looped around her own and kept lock. Meiko was initially shocked until realizing that the only explanation was that it was Luka.

"Heya! I figured that even though I'm still kind of pissed at you, that I could tag along with you and Kai-kun on our way to class~." Luka spoke softly. "Okay. Anyway, since you asked, my next class is Orchestra and Vocals. What's yours Idi-…BaKaito!" Meiko beamed, suddenly adorning a Magical Girl Madoka Doki Doki expression. She grinned deviously once she finally was able to come up with a fitting nickname for Kaito.

Kaito simply stared and blinked at her confusedly, looking quite expressionless. Had Meiko hurt his feelings in any way? "I am going to the orchestra/vocals class next too! Also, thanks for the nickname Mei-chan~." Kaito chuckled lightly and grinned at her. Meiko turned beet red and stomped on his foot. She couldn't help but crack a tiny smile when she heard him whimper in pain. But still, did he just call her Mei-chan? That was too much of a cutesy name for a person like her.

"Let's go then~" Kaito was still slightly whimpering at the pulse in his foot but was cheerful all the while, his scarf swaying along with him as he bounded down the now barren hallway like an excited ball of energy. Meiko glanced peculiarly at him because of the scarf but only shook her head and watched Luka giggle out of the corner of her eye.

Meiko took this time to fix her attire. She tugged up her tights and slightly unzipped her maroon jacket. Rules meant nothing to her, but she was still wearing her uniform! She had on the tight fitting, black, side zippered pencil skirt and the white, short-sleeved dress top. Luka on the other hand was wearing a black colored hoodie with her (too) short skirt and white dress top also. Luka and Meiko hated the girl's blazers because they were purposely designed to make you look like your breasts were a little bigger. There was padding in the front and it always was a turn off for both Luka and Meiko, who were lucky (or cursed) enough to own quite large assets. Luka always hated the skirts too. Her skirt was all too short, so she was forced to where thigh length boots to school, or she wore tights like Meiko. It was always too much of a hassle to deal with wearing an extra layer of clothing, especially during the summer. I suppose protecting your dignity from perverts is more important than how whiny you are when you're burning up in the tights.

"Let's get a move on. I actually like our Orchestra/vocals class. Kaito bounding off like an ass and he knows that he doesn't know where he's going." Luka informed Meiko after standing around for a moment. Meiko face palmed before nodding, pacing after Kaito with a stern glare. They had only caught up to him when finding him stuck at the end of the hallway, contemplating which direction to go; Left or right. Meiko groaned at his stupidity and Luka only sighed, patted his shoulder and pointed left. We all are well aware that Kaito would have probably gone right, no matter how much he protests and says he wasn't.

"Can we not stand around for too long? I hate being late to this class." Luka growled in an icy tone. She really did love music. It was like a passion. She took it just as seriously as she took her literature, so if Meiko did say something out of line about anyone like Beethoven or Mozart, she would sure get an earful. On the other hand, Luka knew how to play piano, acoustic guitar, drums, and violin. Luka also had an extraordinary voice. Her voice could reach both high and low octaves with ease and she always managed to have the softest voice and or most enthusiastic shouting voice depending on the song genre. Luka was just amazing like that, and that was one of the reasons why Meiko was indeed jealous of her.

Meiko knew how to play an electric guitar and drums. She could sing also, but it was never nearly as great as Luka's voice. If you were to compare them, you would pick Luka over Meiko any day for contract signing. Meiko was so submerged in her thoughts before she realized that Kaito was in their same class.

"Wait. Bakaito, can you sing?" Meiko was fairly curious. It just seemed peculiar if she didn't pry. He looked over his shoulder at her, pushing his glasses up the bridge closer to his eyes once more and smiling, nodding and then telling her about some story or another. "Yes, I actually can. I can sing, play piano and play violin. That's about it. I was actually shocked when I got an acceptance letter after first quarter, I mean we're so deep in the school year already, hence my bad timing to change schools."

'So that explains it.' Meiko thought, nodding at him before continuing to walk. She noticed how Luka was ahead of them, a slight bounce in her step.

"Why are you walking so fast Luka!?" Meiko shouted out. Even if classes were in session, she could care less. Kaito pressed a finger to his lips and shushed her, but she typically scoffed and blew him off with a glare.

"I already told you, I love music! You guys are taking too long and Lily will get pissed at us if we're late again, Meiko! You're lucky we're carrying Kaito with us or else she might seriously get pissed!" Luka pouted and shot back with a nipping tone. Meiko only rolled her eyes and jogged slightly to catch up, Kaito following suit.

"Alright, alright, calm your tits. We'll be there in a minute." Kaito flushed at Meiko's comment, considering he was the only guy in their little trio. Well the day wasn't as interesting as she hoped it would be, besides the fact that Kaito makes her heart race for reasons unknown. N-Not that she would admit it though! She didn't have time for love; she had a reputation to keep afloat! She pondered more on the love accusation before a blush raced to her cheeks. Kaito would hear her sing today. Oh, Joy~. Let's see how much worse this day could get.
