From my bedroom I smell a disgusting scent. It had a wet dog fragrance to it. Who could it be?

I slowly walk out of my bedroom when i knew that my husband wouldn't open the door. Shaking my brunette locks at him exasperatedly I proceed to open the door.

Then I saw a sight that would have given me a heart attack if I was a human.

Yep you heard me, I am not a human, I am a vegetarian vampire. "Jake, what are you doing here?" I asked, my golden eyes alight with curiosity.

It has been 50 years since I last saw him. He hesitated, not meeting my eyes. My brows furrowed in confusion. "what's wrong Jacob?"

He finally met my eyes and whispered so low that I barely heard him " they're coming".

I groaned in annoyance and said as calmly as possible" who is coming Jake? come on, I'm growing old here!" I said trying for humour. It brought a faint smile on his face remembering that I used to fear growing old.

After a moment, he grew sober again and said" the Cullen's... that's who's coming' I blinked owlishly at him.

Why? why now?

I felt a pair of pale muscled arms surround me as my husband Luke pulled me to him in a reassuring and comforting embrace. I leaned back onto his the broad chest and said in a quiet voice" OO..K but how come they are moving here rather than other places across the world?"

He shifted uneasily before saying" well... it might have accidently slipped from me that you were alive." I shut my eyes tightly and let out a low growl. Luke's arms tightened on me and he said in a strained and cold voice' Jacob go before she hurts you". Jake looked at me, worry clear on his face as he looked back before driving off to where he lived. I wasn't angry at Jake...well not too much but I was angry that the Cullen's were here. They would obviously be going to the local school here in Clermont, Florida. East Ridge High School. Great.. i thought sarcastically, just when I thought everything was going to be great.

I have some really bad luck!

wait that's not true.. I met Luke after all.

I smiled slightly at him and wove my hands through his Shoulder length black hair and kissed his strong jaw line.

the rest of the night we spent enjoying each other's company, that being told no more information is needed.

Tomorrow is tomorrow. I am not in the future, I am in the present and the present is in my Husband's arms.
