Riena: Ok. Second poem posted in one night. I'm on a role.

Kurama: Aren't you supposed to be doing your report?

Riena: Well, yeah, but it feels like my brains being compressed, so I'm typing this. It works too. For writers block, homework, ect. Just write poetry. It really works! ^_^ I just sounded like one of those people in the commercials, didn't I?

Kurama: Well, yeah, sort of.

Riena: ANYWAY, back to the story.

Okami: Poem.

Riena: WHATEVER! I originally wrote this for me, but I just relized that it could probably work for Hiei, or even Kurama when you think about it! Now, on with the story!

Okami: Poem.

Riena: Grrr.

"It hurts, doesn't it?"
asked a little voice in my head.
"When you keep it bottled up inside
Til the end of time?"

"Yes"
I reply.
"But it isn't anything that I'm not used to."

"You could end it you know?"
The voice reasons.
"There's a knife over there
Just a few feet away.

"All you have to do
Is lift it up
Then bring it down through your heart.
Or head.
Might be faster.
So what do you say?"

"No"
I reply

"Why not?"

"Hope."

The voice snorts in disgust.

"As long as there is hope
I continue.
I will not take the cowards way out.
Not again.
I've been running to long.

"I will survive
As long as there is hope.
I can not, however,
Say the same for you."
