As soon as Johnathan saw her in the lobby alone writing. She looked so fragile and completely breakable.
He wanted to know her, to protect her, to make all her dreams come true. He still had money he had stolen from the last cover job he had. She tucked her hair behind her ear and Oh, she was a Princess even though it was clear she to him didn't think so.
She was plainly dressed and no jewelry or make up adorned her; if he had his way he would love her until she understood her own beauty.
He broke off from the ranks hoping he would get to her before he was missed and when he was ten steps away from her.
"Pine!" The billionaire criminal's voice echoed though the lobby with a lot of bass.
Fuck.
He was already composing his resignation letter when he was called back to his current mission.
"She's beautiful, "The gentleman criminal commented as Johnathan entered the elevator, "Do you know her?" He asked as he pressed a button.
"No." That was the truth.
The elevator dinged and as she looked up her eyes immediately locked onto Johnathan's until a moment later when the elevator doors snapped shut.
"She just looked like someone I knew." He added the lie to keep Roper from thinking about it too much he hoped.
"Do you want to?"
"You can't always get what you want."
Roper laughed a bit, "True," Then he sighed, "but sometimes..."
Johnathan looked at him.
"Sometimes you get what you need."
