Note: Naruto is an anime that was done by the studio Pierrot and is based on a manga by Masashi Kishimoto.

Naruto went for a walk. He was usually cheerful, energetic, but that's not what he was feeling on this day. He felt a little more sad and lonely. He looked down at his feet. Sometimes, it felt like his shoes were the closest thing he had to company. He stared up at the sky and said, "I feel truly alone."

Sasuke replied, "Um, I'm here. I've been on this walk with you."

Naruto looked at Sasuke and said, "Oh, I forgot that you were walking with me."

Sasuke replied, "Dude, I've been walking beside you. How could you forget about me?"

Naruto shrugged his shoulders and said, "Sorry bro. Since you're here, do you want to hang out?"

Sasuke started walking in front of Naruto while saying, "Not really."

Naruto asked, "Why not?"

Sasuke said, "Since I leave such little impact on you, I might as well go."

Naruto replied, "I'm sorry for forgetting about you."

Sasuke responded, "Then I hope you can forget about the fact that I forgot about your apology." Sasuke walked away. Naruto was starting to realize that Sasuke was grumpy in the mornings.

Naruto kept walking. He was starting to wonder why he felt so lonely. He had a decent amount of friends, but something felt missing. He wondered what it was. A sudden thought popped in his mind. He hadn't seen Hinata in a few weeks. He had been so busy with his work and helping his friends, that he hadn't seen her in a while. When Naruto thought about Hinata, he had a special feeling in his heart, but he wasn't sure why.

Naruto started walking by a river. He heard a strange sounding voice. It sounded familiar, but it didn't sound like any of Naruto's friends. It was a rather soothing, but villainous sounding voice. Naruto was feeling bored and curious, so he decided to try to find out who was speaking.

Naruto walked closer to the river and saw that the voice was coming from Hinata. He said, "I didn't think that voice was coming from anybody I knew."

Hinata blushed with embarrassment. She said, "Hi Naruto."

Naruto replied, "Hi Hinata. Why were you doing that peculiar sounding voice."

Hinata nervously said, "A iconic actor, named Tony Jay, has a birthday this month. I was feeling nostalgic for the memories I had of his acting, so I was imitating him. Please don't make fun of me."

Naruto put his hand on Hinata's shoulder and replied, "I'm not going to do that."

Hinata said, "Sakura joked about it."

Naruto replied, "Well, Sakura's a jerk."

Hinata said, "Wow, what a way to throw your friend under the bus."

Naruto thought about Sasuke while saying, "I've been doing that too much."

Hinata replied, "You're never rude to me. You're always so gentle and kind to me."

Naruto was surprised to hear himself being described like that. It didn't feel like something he was, so he said, "That's not my style. I'm more an immature action guy."

Hinata replied, "Yes, you do like your action, but I think that there's more to you than that."

Naruto said, "Thanks."

Hinata asked, "So, what are you up to?"

Naruto said, "Not much. I've been by myself."

Hinata gently asked, "Are you lonely?"

Naruto said, "Kind of."

Naruto and Hinata both took a long pause of silence. Naruto wondered if Hinata wanted to hangout with him. It would be a good way to catch up. He was about to ask her, but he started chickening out.

Hinata looked at Naruto and saw his lips quivering. She asked, "Are you okay?"

Hinata wanted to ask Naruto to hangout with her, but she was scared too. However, she figured that there was a way to ask Naruto to spend time with her in a subtle way. She asked, "Do you take daily walks around here?"

Naruto casually said, "More or less."

Hinata replied, "Then maybe I'll see you tomorrow."

Naruto said, "That's a nice possibility." Naruto smiled at Hinata and continued his walk. Hinata had a blushing smile on her face. She strongly hoped that she'd see Naruto soon.

The next day, Hinata went to the lake and waited for Naruto. She was wearing a green dress. The last time she went by the lake, it was to relax. This time, Naruto was the only reason that she had come. She felt silly. She didn't know when Naruto would come and if he didn't come at all, she's feel like a fool. Hinata didn't want to stand around and do nothing, so she started singing a song, while imitating Tony Jay's singing voice. She danced around while singing.

Naruto walked by the lake. He saw that Hinata was singing and dancing. Instead of giving Hinata a normal greeting, Naruto had a better idea. He tap danced to Hinata. He started singing along. He stuck his hand out, as an offer to dance with him. Hinata was a little embarrassed, but she accepted the offer and the two of them started dancing together.

After five minutes of singing and dancing, the two of them stopped. Hinata said, "Thank you for that. That was wonderful."

Naruto replied, "You're welcome. You did a great impression of Mr. Jay's voice and your dance moves were really nice too."

Hinata said, "Thank you."

Naruto asked, "So, what are you up to?"

Hinata felt embarrassed. The only thing that she had planned was seeing Naruto. She shyly said, "I don't really know what I'm doing. I just came here, so I could see you again."

Naruto was surprised to hear that, but it was a flattering thought. He said, "I've missed you. I'm sorry that we haven't spent much time."

Hinata replied, "I understand. You have lots of work and friends."

Naruto said, "It would be nice to catch up."

Hinata replied, "Maybe we'll see each other tomorrow."

Naruto said, "Sounds good." Naruto continued on his walk. He was planning on seeing Hinata again, but he wanted to do something special. He started thinking about ideas, during his walk.

The next day, Naruto arrived at the lake earlier than usual. He sat around and waited for Hinata. He had a shopping bag with him.

Sasuke walked by. He had forgotten about Naruto forgetting him, so he wasn't mad at him anymore. He walked closer to Naruto and asked, "What are you up to?"

Naruto said, "I'm waiting for Hinata. I've been visiting her on my daily walks."

Sasuke replied, "You two could meet up at a cafe or something nice, instead of a messy lake."

Naruto said, "I don't have the courage to ask her to someplace like that. She might get the impression that it's a date."

Sasuke asked, "Aren't you two dating?"

Naruto felt embarrassed. He deeply cared Hinata, but the two of them hadn't been on an official date. They also hadn't kissed each other. Naruto said, "It's hard to explain."

Sasuke replied, "Actually, it seems simple. You two are in denial."

Naruto stubbornly responded, "That's not true."

Sasuke pointed to the bag and asked, "What's in that?"

Naruto said, "In order to not seem romantic, I got Hinata plastic flowers, instead of real flowers. I also got her a box of donuts, instead of a box of chocolate."

Meanwhile, Hinata was swimming at a different part of the lake. She was so far away, that she and Naruto had no idea that they were both at the lake.

Sakura walked by Hinata and said, "Hi."

Hinata replied, "Um, hi."

Sakura looked at her and asked, "You're swimming in that icky lake water?"

Hinata felt stressed out while saying, "You're always judging me!"

Sakura nervously said, "I'm sorry."

Hinata replied, "I'm sorry for my scream. I felt a lot of pressure. I've been meeting up with Naruto, at the lake, but it feels awkward."

Sakura could tell what was going on, so she said, "You like Naruto and you're nervous about admitting your feelings."

Hinata nervously replied, "I don't even know what feelings I have for Naruto."

Sakura confidently said, "I do. You're smitten with him."

Hinata nervously asked, "Really?"

Sakura said, "You've been gushing about him for months. A part of me thought you two were already dating."

Hinata replied, "It's complicated, confusing."

Sakura said, "Then say your feelings out loud. It should help you relax."

Hinata replied, "Okay then." She stepped out of the river and dried off. She got on a purple dress and started walking around the lake.

Sakura had walked away from Hinata, by the time she bumped into Sasuke. Sasuke said, "Hi Sakura. I didn't know you were around here."

Sakura replied, "I knew that you and Naruto were here. That's why I convinced Hinata to say her true feelings for Naruto. Naruto will likely hear her and they can finally get together."

Sasuke responded, "Sneaky, but nice."

Sakura said, "We better go, so they can have admit their feelings, without being extra embarrassed." She and Sasuke walked away.

Hinata started walking around the lake, while speaking to herself. She said, "I don't know what I'm supposed to say to Naruto. My feelings about him are hard to describe, but I need to give it a try."

Hinata started walking close enough, to where Naruto was, for Naruto to hear her. She said, "I have a lot of good feelings, but I feel a more sentimental connection to Naruto. He's unique and funny, but he's more than just jokes. He's charming. He always comforts me, during my moments of sadness and fear. Nobody has made me blush more."

Naruto felt moved by Hinata's words. He walked up to her and said, "Hi."

Hinata nervously asked, "Did you hear me?"

Naruto said, "Yes."

Hinata replied, "Oh dear."

Naruto said, "Hinata, you're the sweetest and prettiest person that I've ever met." Hinata smiled and blushed at him.

Naruto handed her the plastic flowers and box of donuts. Naruto said, "I wish that I had given you flowers, because I really like you."

Hinata replied, "It's okay and thank you for the gifts." She felt so embarrassed, that she wanted to leave. She started stepping away while saying, "I'll see you at the lake, tomorrow."

Naruto asked, "How about something better?"

Hinata turned around and asked, "Better?"

Naruto asked, "How about we go to a cafe, right now?"

Hinata thought about it and said, "That sounds really nice." She felt a weird feeling in her heart. She had felt it several times before, but she finally understood what it meant. She was in love. Hinata put her hands on Naruto's shoulders and said, "Before we go to the cafe, there's something I have to take care of."

Naruto replied, "Um, okay."

Hinata took a long pause, before going up to Naruto's lips and giving him a kiss. She said, "I love you."

Naruto instantly replied, "I love you too!"

Hinata had the biggest smile of her life, while saying, "I'm ready to go to the diner now."

Naruto replied, "Okay."

Hinata and Naruto held hands. Hinata hummed her Tony Jay impression, so Naruto started humming too. They were so happy, that they couldn't contain their happiness. Hinata gleefully skipped around, while Naruto danced around. After months of confused feelings, they finally knew how they felt. They were in love. The couple went into the cafe, while feeling happy to finally be dating each other.
