Enjoy…
Percy POV
It was two weeks after the giant war had ended and things were getting back to normal. Though, the demigods were still getting over the losses they had suffered during the war.
Chiron had allowed Annabeth to stay in the Poseidon cabin so that Percy and Annabeth could comfort each other when they had nightmares from Tartarus. This was why, when Percy woke to find Annabeth nowhere in sight, he had a moment of panic. After a second, he realised that she must have already gone to breakfast. Percy got up and started getting dressed and headed out to the dining pavilion. When he got there Annabeth wasn't there, but he saw Will Solace and Nico di Angelo kissing nearby. He walked over to them, but they didn't realise he was there. "Enjoying yourself, Death Breath?" he said with a smirk.
Nico pulled away quickly to glare at Percy. "Shut up, Kelp Head."
"Have either of you seen Annabeth?" Percy asked them more seriously.
"She's looking after a new camper," Will answered. "She's in the Big House."
"Thanks," Percy said as he started running towards the Big House. He slowed down as he reached the porch and made his way through the house to the Infirmary. As he walked through the door, he saw Annabeth sitting next to one of the beds, feeding some ambrosia to the girl lying on it. As he walked up to them, he saw the girl better and realised she looked a lot like Nico.
She had long, straight, dark hair and healthy, but pale, skin. As she lay on the bed, he saw that she was quite small, but Percy knew by looking at her face that she was of similar age to him. It was when he looked at her face, he saw it-a large scar ran across her face from just above her left eyebrow down to her left cheek, cutting across her eye. Even though it looked to be a few years old, Percy could see that it could still be quite painful. The girl wore a black sweater that was cut off into a half-shirt, she had high-waisted, ripped denim shorts and black high-tops.
Annabeth glanced at him as he came closer. "Hey, Seaweed Brain," she said as he sat down on a chair next to her.
"Who's this?"
"I don't know, she hasn't woken up yet. She stumbled into camp this morning as I was having breakfast. I found no physical injuries, but I got Will in here just in case. Turns out she was probably just exhausted or something" Annabeth replied. As she was speaking the girl started to stir. Annabeth put the ambrosia down just as the girl opened her dark eyes.
Arya POV
Arya heard talking as she opened her eyes to two people standing over her. The first one was a girl with blonde, curly hair tied up in a loose ponytail and grey eyes. The second person was a boy with dark, messy hair and sea-green eyes. They both wore orange t-shirts with the letters 'CHB' which Arya knew stood for Camp Half-Blood. Both looked around seventeen years old.
Arya glanced around at her surroundings, taking in the position of all the possible exits, should she need to make a run for it.
"Hello," said the blonde. "Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. I'm Annabeth and this is Percy."
"I'm Arya," she replied as she sat up in the bed.
"Take it easy, we're not gonna hurt you." Annabeth said.
Isn't that my life story, thought Arya. "I'm in Camp Half-Blood?" Annabeth nodded. "How long was I asleep?"
"Only an hour or so. So, you know about Camp Half-Blood?" said Annabeth and when Arya nodded, she continued. "You know about gods and monsters and demigods and all that stuff?"
"Yeah, I discovered a while ago," when she said that Annabeth and Percy had the feeling that she meant more than just a few years.
"Do you know who your parent is?" asked Percy, earning a light punch on the arm from Annabeth.
"She only just got here, Seaweed Brain. How could she have already been claimed?"
"Actually, I do know who my godly parent is."
"You do?" Percy asked, clearly not expecting her to have known.
"Yeah, I lived with my dad, in the Underworld."
"Your dad's Hades, then?" It wasn't really a question, but Arya answered it anyway.
"Yeah."
"Well, since you're a daughter of Hades then you'll probably want to meet your brother."
Percy and Annabeth led Arya out of the Big House and towards the dining pavilion, where Percy had last seen Nico. As they got closer, she saw a few people sitting at the various tables. Percy headed for two boys making out at one of the tables. The boy closest to them had light blonde hair and lightly tanned skin. The other boy looked a lot like her-dark hair and pale skin.
As they came closer the boys, who must have heard their footsteps, broke apart. "Do you two do anything other than make out?" Percy asked, exasperation in his voice.
"You're one to talk. We rarely see you and Annabeth apart," replied the dark-haired boy. Then he seemed to notice Arya. His dark eyes studying her. "You're the new camper then?" he asked, and Arya couldn't help but be impressed by his acting abilities. She was glad because she didn't want people knowing that her and Nico had known each other for years.
"That's me," she said, in answer to his question. "I'm Arya, and you are?"
"Nico, and this is Will," he said, gesturing to the blonde-haired boy.
"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood," said Will. "So, determined or undetermined?"
"Determined," replied Percy. "She's a daughter of Hades, which is why we came to you guys first."
"Cool," Nico answered.
"Come on, Neeks. You're not even gonna show affection to your sister?" exclaimed Percy.
Nico shrugged in response. "Why don't you guys show me around the camp," Arya said to Percy and Annabeth.
"Sure, let's start over here…" Annabeth said as she walked off, Arya and Percy trailing behind her.
====Time Skip====
"You definitely would've had me fooled."
Arya and Nico were in the cabin after being at the campfire for half an hour or so. Arya was unpacking the few things that she had arrived with, when she brought up the conversation from earlier. Nico shrugged in response. Arya turned around to face Nico.
"Seriously, Neeks. You really gonna keep up that act when it's just us? Your much friendlier in the Underworld, which is the last place you'd expect someone to be friendly." Again, Nico shrugged.
"I like the Underworld." he replied.
"Good point, that place is awesome. I really don't get why people are always so scared of it, I mean, once you get past all the dead souls and the undead soldiers and the Kindly Ones, it's quite a nice place," said Arya, with a small smirk.
"Shut up, Arya," he said, giving her a glare. "And don't call me Neeks."
I hope you liked that. Let me know if you want me to continue this story. It would be great if I got even one review.
I'll try to post weekly most of the time, but I'm sorry if I don't keep to that schedule.
Please tell me whether you like Arya or not. She is a character that I made up myself, she's pieces of lots of different characters from different books and stuff. Her name I did copy completely. Her full name, Arya Drottning, I got from the Inheritance Cycle books by Christopher Paolini.
See you next week.
