Title: Marilyn's Rival
Author: Neerod
Disclaimer: And yes, PoT ain't mine. How sad. I just had to borrow these chibi.
A/N: Yay! I am grateful to those who reviewed my previous story, Kinds of Forces. If it were not for those positive responses, I wouldn't have been able to write anymore...hehe (Char!). I am back with yet another Perfect Pair fic. It's nonyaoi (!). And it's not related to any of my exams this time.
I am so into the TeniPuri Family.
Enjoy.
"Aishiteru yo, Kunimitsu."
From Grandma's tone, Shuuko guessed that she was either going to murder Grandpa, murder Marilyn the bonsai, or murder both. After torturing them first, of course.
Grandpa could only gape as Grandma cooed and fangirled over a sickly-looking cactus.
"Ii data." Sadaharu scribbled at his omnipresent notebook. "Mother managed to dehydrate a cactus in one day. I wonder how she did it."
"Ah, seems my Kunimitsu is starving," Grandma cooed. "I better feed you."
She held up a pitcher of something viscous and purple.
Sadaharu promptly dropped his notebook. "T-that…" he spluttered.
"Don't worry, my darling Kunimitsu, I promise you Akazu is delicious."
And then Grandma emptied the entire pitcher onto the pot. Immediately, 'Kunimitsu' began to wither and shrink, and its thorns dropped to the ground one by one.
Grandpa paled, then turned violet.
"Felt it immediately, huh?" What do you think, Ku-ni-mit-su?" Grandma turned and favored Grandpa with a very meaningful smile. She reached out to pat Kunimitsu the cactus for emphasis.
"I take care of my Marilyn better," Grandpa replied stiffly.
The smile vanished from Grandma's face. Her eyes snapped open.
"My Marilyn is healthier," Grandpa said coolly.
The smile reappeared on Grandma's lips. "Ah, but sweetheart, I like taking care of my two Kunimitsus this way," she said sweetly. And held up another pitcher of something bubbling and brownish. It looked suspiciously familiar.
"Golden Power Remix," Sadaharu whispered to his wife.
"Oh, my." Shuuko put a hand to her forehead. Even her parents needed taking care of.

The next day, no one was surprised that Grandpa stopped calling the bonsai Marilyn; instead giving it Grandma's name.
Six hours after that, Kunimitsu the cactus miraculously, magically became robust, and healthy, and thorny once more. No one was surprised either.

A/N: Yes, I demand reviews. I hope you enjoyed the fic. :)
