This is how Nick goes from a young, naïve Grimm to an older more skeptical Grimm, like his Aunt Marie. Where Juliet is not what she claimed to be. Also where Nick begins to realize why creatures hate him and why he should hate them back.
I don't own Grimm or anything Grimm related. If I did own Grimm I wouldn't doom its success.
Chapter 1:
The day started just like any other normal day; breakfast with Juliet, kisses with Juliet, and making love to Juliet. Then the call from Hank to investigate a murder taking place along the coastline of the Columbia River. It was one of the most gruesome murders Nick has had to investigate. It was a woman severed in multiple places. As Nick was finishing up with Sgt. Wu and went to take a closer look at the body he had noticed something disturbingly familiar: a necklace. Looking around he notice the victim had long red hair, ivory skin, and a very lean body tone. As shock takes over Nick, he realizes it was Angelina, Monroe's ex-girlfriend.
Back at the precinct Nick watches the coroner as she gives the drabble of what happened, he is trying to figure out how to tell Monroe. "That is weird" says Hank, pulling Nick back to reality "there is a kind of brand here" pointing to her abdomen. It was the mark of a scythe. The brand was considerably small, but large enough for the murder to get his point across. "Is there a way to tell how old this mark is?" asks Nick. The coroner reassures them there is, but it will take some time to get the results in.
Nick makes his way up Monroe's sidewalk. As he goes to knock on the door he pauses to think about what he is going to say, but Monroe opens the door on him. "Hey buddy, haven't seen you in a while. What's going on, you look like someone just died?" Nick just kind of stared at Monroe. "Someone did die, do I want to know who" says Monroe. Nick looks at him with deep concern in his eyes and begins to speak to Monroe. "Look Eddie there was a homicide along the Columbia River just outside the woods. The victim was Angelina, it was a reaper." " I am so sorry; I didn't know how to tell you." Monroe cuts Nick off, but unlike the calm laidback Monroe, it was an extremely angry almost violent Monroe. "This is your entire fault." "They didn't like us hanging around with you, yet alone helping you." "I should have listened to the signs before but that was when it was just me." "You need to leave now, and if you ever come around here, I will show a blutbad's true nature."
Forcing Nick out the door, Monroe slams the door in his face just as Nick tries to interrupt and ask him how to stop the reaper. Nick walks away thinking about how he didn't blame Eddy for the way he acted and he felt more guilt then he has ever felt before this day. Nick climbs into his car and drives back to the prescient where Hank and he will get a start on a few suspects.
