So now I can say
I kissed a drunk girl.
- Something Corporate "Drunk Girl"
-x-
A night like tonight, the voices of partying teenagers filled the air. The smell of alcohol filled the air; wild screams and shouts came from the house.
"Come on Roxas!" A blonde girl said, tugging onto his sleeve, giggling. "Dance with me!" Her pale eyes glittered under the lights as the stereo blasted in the room. Couples sat in dark corners; people danced along with the music, and in the center of attention were the two blondes.
"Yeah, dance!" Some shouted from the crowd around the two blondes. Naminé reached out for his hand, "Come on! You know you want to!" She giggled again. Roxas nodded.
Lights blinked all around them as a new song began to play, a slow song. Couples gathered around under the lights, smiling at each other. The girl placed his hand on her waist. Tucking her head under his chin, she whispered, "Dance with me."
Her hair smelled vaguely of lavender, a sweet scent mixing with the slightly faint, but there scent of alcohol. Then it hit him, she was drunk. Her hands clasped onto his back, pulling him closer to her.
The song ended, and Naminé held onto his hand, leading him outside. "I like you." She smiled at him, sitting down on the porch.
Kairi just passed out on the lawn.
Roxas stared at the redhead sleeping on the lawn, and then looked back at Naminé. "I…" She silenced him as she pressed her lips against his.
"Riku… I like you a lot, do you know that?" Naminé now gave him a hug, smiling and sighing dreamily. "I've loved you for a long, long time."
Azure eyes widened. It wasn't Roxas she thought she was kissing, it was Riku. She leaned in again, this time lightly, but he pushed her away. He wasn't the one; he wasn't the one she was thinking about.
"No." Her eyes looked sad now. "Why? You let me the first time… Am I not good enough? Is there someone else? Tell me!" The girl's voice was sad, a plea. But the question wasn't for Roxas.
No, no.
In her heart, he was nothing. "Not tonight." He whispered, she nodded happily. "Okay." Sounding like a little child when she said it. "Don't forget."
"I won't." She held up her pinky, "Promise?"
"Promise."
She smelled vaguely of lavender all the time, this time she smelled of lavender and alcohol, bittersweet.
"I love you, Naminé."
