Greeting
Summary[ONESHOT Penelope Garcia knew exactly what it was when she first met Dereck Morgan. "You know I love you, right?"
Disclaimer: This is my first ever Criminal Minds fic, and I'm really excited about it. I recently almost had a heart attack during the "Penelope" episode and I thought Garcia was toast but there were really great Morgan/Garcia moments so I was uber happy. So I do not own Criminal Minds so bear with me!
Tall, dark and handsome were the three words that Penelope Garcia had always associated with the kind of men she liked. The first time she ever saw Derek Morgan she seemed to just know how much he would mean to her.
She had been recruited to the BAU as an analyst some years before and knew that waiting around for "Mr. Right" would be tough but he just seemed to walk right up to her. His first time he entered her sanctuary; he looked up at her, seeming like he was trying to figure out exactly where he was. Entering her space was like jumping into the ultimate individuality room.
When she had expected him to start asking her questions, get to know her by his own craft, he smiled at her almost as sweetly as a shy boy to his high school crush.
"C-Can I help you?" Garcia managed to say as his smile got even brighter. He seemed somewhat relieved at her curiosity.
"Oh, sorry. I'm the new guy, Derek Morgan," he said, holding out a hand. It would be one of many times they would touch but it was enough to get her heart pounding. They shook but their hands lingered. If he was feeling the same way, he hid it by coughing and slowly pulling back his hand.
"Penelope Garcia," she said, smiling shyly. Gideon saw this go on and was a little surprised. Never had he seen they young Garcia ever be so shy around a person before. If only he knew what Derek Morgan was doing to her heart at that moment.
There were a few awkward exchanges and then he hurried off, though it was more to escape the pounding of their hearts. Garcia would then see Morgan more often and their shyness turned into cute exchanges and then their "dirty" talk. It all started from the moment their eyes met, but it was obvious to Garcia that her idea of "tall, dark and handsome" was always going to be describing her love for Derek Morgan.
-A little silly, but I liked writing it. Short but oh well, my acting teacher, Dr. Medlin always says "It can never be too loud, it can never be too big, and it can never be too short," so I'll stick with that. Thanks for reading!
