He never managed to get a look at her face at first glance. The first part of her he ever saw was the back of her head. More specifically, the red curls of her pigtails, neatly tied up in bright crimson bows. It wasn't that he found her hair pretty-to a young Loki, it was temptation. Those twin bundles of curls tempted his immature five-year-old mind into pulling them, just to see what would happen. Would she cry? Scream for 'mommy?' Loki eagerly approached the small table where the little red-head was busy colouring away. "Excuse me," he said, lightly tapping her shoulder. If she was going to cry, he wanted to see her face and laugh.
The little girl turned her head, her pigtails following the motion. Natasha wasn't sure who the little boy was. It was only day one, but she still didn't bother to make any new friends. But this little boy, however, with his jet black hair and bright green eyes peaked Natasha's curiosity. She carefully watched him, mesmerized by his emerald orbs. He reminded her of someone. Someone very near and dear to her who went by the name of 'Liho.' The little boy even gave her the same intent stare of her pet kitten back home. Natasha giggled to herself, making the boy turn his head. "Human Liho!" she declared, pointed a finger at him.
Loki blinked, confused by the odd remark. "My name's Loki!" he stated. She continued to laugh, further angering him, thus making him want to pull on her hair even more. And that was exactly what Loki did. His tiny fists each grabbed a ponytail and he yanked as hard as he could. As expected, the little girl cried out in distress. Loki let go and began to laugh… But what Loki didn't expect was for the red-head to fight back…
Natasha got out of her chair and kicked human Liho in the shin. Hard. Hard enough to make him scream.
The teacher and other children heard the screams and young Natasha and Loki were sent into opposing corners of the room. Corners especially meant for the naughty children.
Loki sat in his corner, sulking as he gazed upon a bruise forming on his left leg. He turned his head towards Natasha's corner and saw her peeking over at him with a smirk. Loki stuck his tongue out at her and she responded by doing the same. He saw her whip her head around, giggling, and Loki couldn't help but laugh, too. She was an odd one, that little red-head, but he liked her. Her and her curly hair.
