I love the Legend of Zelda and the most recentently released, Skyward Sword, completely floored me. It isn't my favourite though, that title goes to Twilight Princess, but Skyward Sword comes in a very close second. The only things I like better are the graphics and the companions. Sorry Fi. But either way they are both amazing. Here's to my second favourite (after that fourtune telling guy in the bazaar) character in Skyward Sword, Pipit.

Pipit's Adventure

"Hey Karane! What's up boo?" Pipit shouts from his perch on his grey loftwing as he swoops low over skyloft.

"Hey Pipit! Sword practice!" Karane answers shouting up and shielding her eyes from the sun with her shield.

"As usual." he mutters under his breath and continues flying. He circles around the statue of the goddess once, saluting, then dashes away.

Link dashes by on his beautiful crimson loftwing. Only Link would think of flying so fast. Pipit watched him go in envy as he twirled on his way downwards.

Suddenly, as if from the surface, a red column of light shot up and caught Link, "What is this?" Pipit asks himself. Quickly following he circles above the spot where Link disappeared. And in a brief flash he notices a hole in the impenetrable clouds. His eyes open wide and he jumps off his loftwing heading straight for the hole he had seen earlier. As he near's the clouds he hopes he isn't about to die.

Soft, dewy wetness touched his skin and he opens his tightly shut eyes. He was in the clouds. And quickly falling through them. He nearly screamed as the clouds disappeared and he was heading toward the hottest piece of land he's ever felt. Quickly he took out his cape that he had one at the Wing Ceremony so many years ago. He drifted slowly towards the ground, landing right beside a bird statue. He said a quick prayer to the goddess and continued on his way. Up ahead he could see Link talking to two odd creatures... like nothing he had ever seen before. When Link moved on the two creatures burrowed into the ground.

"What the hell was that?" Pipit muttered and continued to walk down the path. Lava, something he had heard only in myths, lay on each side of the narrow path. He began to sweat, he wasn't supposed to be hear.

Directly beside him two of the creatures popped up.

"Hi there!" one said, "You ain't supposed to be here now are you?" it asked. Pipit shook his head. His mouth had gone dry.

"Us here are Mogmas!" the other one said and then they disappeared below the earth.

"What odd creatures..." he shook himself, "I really don't want to see if those were the only nice ones."

From his far right he heard a startled beastial cry. He turned to the left and saw red humanoid beast running at him waving huge weapons.

He ran back to the stone and prayed to the goddess, he had no idea how to get out of here.

Please goddess, please get me out of here. Please take me to the sky.

From under his feet a gust of wind blew straight up into the clouds.

Thank you.

He pulled out his cape and it lifted him into his sky where he called his loftwing.

"Never tell anyone of this." he says to his loftwing, but also to himself.
