I sat on the floor tickling Renesmee, when Jacob walked over.
"Hey," Jacob said kissing Renesmee on the cheek. I hissed viciously. I still wasn't comfortable with the fact that my daughter was meant to be with a werewolf.
"I wanted to talk to you," Jacob said.
I rose and waved good-bye to Renesmee.
"Momma will be right back," I told Renesmee, she smiled.
Jacob and I walked out into the brisk mid-morning air. Jacob shivered.
"Oh, I forgot you could get cold." I said shrugging off my jacket.
Jacob sniffed it and backed away.
"Oh, come on, it can't be much worse than the way smell," I said rolling my eyes.
"Trust me, it is." Jacob replied plugging his nose.
"So, you wanted to tell me something?" I asked sitting on a rotting log, smoothing out the black skirt that Alice had bought for me, and patting the spot next to me.
Jacob sat down and I analyzed him, he had grown yet another inch and now had a more lopsided figure. He had to lie down on his stomach to be shorter that Renesmee.
His short hair was messy and his russet skin shone in the sun. I remembered the days when Edward was gone and Jacob comforted me. I loved him like a brother and nothing more, I was now positive of that. I loved Edward much more than I ever loved Jacob, but I would still die for Jacob.
"I just wanted to let you know that I was wrong." Jacob said still not looking at me.
I was confused.
"About what?" I asked.
"Loving you." Jacob replied, this time Jacob turned to face me, the impact was way too much and the passion in his eyes scared me.
"What do you mean?" I asked. It was much easier not to stutter when you were a vampire, you felt much more confidant.
"I thought I loved you, I was furious when Edward came back, everything was going the way I wanted it between us. We were falling in love and then he came and ruined it all." Jacob said.
"Jake, that's not fair-" I began.
"But it wasn't working, something was wrong, because it wasn't you I was meant to be with. It was Renesmee and I only loved you because you are the closest thing to her besides Edward, and I can't like Edward, it's not in my blood." Jacob said.
I was stunned.
"Oh! Jacob! Thank you! I knew you figure every thing out one way or another! Thank You!" I got up and gave Jacob a huge hug.
"What's going on?" Edward walked out into the back yard.
"Nothing, everything's perfect." I replied.
Edward walked over and kissed me, I gladly kissed back and Jacob laughed his barking laugh.
