PRONOLOUGE
"Amber come here. I have something to show you." My dad called me to him from his workshop.
"Yes daddy?" I replied.
"Happy birthday princess." He showed me the most beautiful jewelry box I had ever seen. He was a carpenter and loved to give me little trinkets like this. It was my 9th birthday.
"Daddy it's beautiful. I love it."
"Good. Now come on your mothers waiting in the kitchen. I think I smell your favorite dinner." Which happened to be chicken spaghetti
With veggies and cheesy bread. Homemade of course. When we walked in my mom walked over and gave me a huge kiss on the cheek.
"Happy birthday darling." Mom was a chef at Bella note and she loved her job.
" 'Appy burpday sissy." My 2 year old brother said kissing my other cheek.
"Come on suppers ready. Then present time." Mom said.
"Okay." I replied taking my seat. My dad placed the honorary birthday tiara on my head and took his seat.
After dinner we were gathered out on the front porch. I was surrounded by gifts, all from aunts' uncles' cousins and grandparents. Suddenly there was a thump on the roof.
"what was that?" I asked.
"I'll go see." Dad answered going out into the yard and looked up at the roof. Just then whatever it was leaped down and stared at the four of us. It was a man, his black hair as long as a woman's, his skin was deathly white and he had purple circles under his golden eyes.
"May we help you?" dad asked the strange man. There was no reply. "Are you okay?" The man suddenly launched himself at my dad and sank his teeth into his neck.
I watched as my dad's eyes rolled back in his head and his falling helplessly to the ground. Next he went after my mom and Konohamaru. Their screams terrified me. Within minutes they were all gone I had no body left I was alone. But when he turned to me he didn't attack. He just smirked and disappeared.
I'm not sure how long I stood there when the lady next door came home and saw the scene. She picked me up and carried me into her home, put me in the bath and went to call the cops. After that day I was the states problem.
