Author's Note: This first poem, written like a narrative, with the storyteller unknown, is set during the time of Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando. The featured characters' names are never mentioned but implied through description. The topic and theme will slowly fall into place, hopefully, but then again I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to writing any kind of poem; and writing one that is not exactly original, about my own experiences, I've already lost some drama and emotion in the work. If not, then please do review and tell me what you thought you felt about the subject matter. As always, reviews and constructive criticism are always appreciated. Enjoy!

ATTRACTION DRAWN FROM A DEEP WELL
Written by Black Rosettes

Attraction drawn from a deep well unseen, suffocated
Emotion and the feeling of emptiness too;
For making their acquaintance led from
A barrel of a weapon fixed on each other.
One had traveled so far to
Unmask this insignificant other,
But their chance played off, danced together
And it all seemed to be in vain
Until the experiment was lost.

Into the loyal gloved hands of the masculine
Figure, to whom a job seemed fulfilled,
But there wasn't any reason to further compete
With this male stranger, who then escaped Siberius
Empty-handed, having not forsaken revenge
Vowed to reunite with him soon and again--
Alas, the lombax had won this battle,
Just as the stranger promised to make his revenge
He came in close, demanded what's his,

The hero dismissed the thief's need and turned away
Then heard a quick swish welcome the air--
Oh! What is this?
The culprit became a fair maiden...
Cloaked and hidden always before,
Now outraged; belittled and betrayed
By her clumsy fall threatened again
With the same heat and brawn,
Standing so tall and omnious.

Their fates then became
One of the same; to make amends
And let bygones be bygones,
And combine talents to prevent
A fetal mistake; together, joined arms and
Crept in under the main man's hand,
Discovering a way to dethrone
The pretentious chairman,
The herald of imminent danger.

When enemies turned friends a new problem
Began, to infringe after the formerly
Masked damsel was seized, and then a
New calling bedeviled the hero's ears...
His heart leapt from his chest and
Risked it all to reach Snivelak
To face something more than
Bad thugs; his thoughts were alive
And the welcoming sight of her removed his fears.

The hero changed, became better
And redefined--to save,
To fight, and carve away
Into his impregnable heart
As new sensations swept just as the wind,
Was it simply because of her...
A living, breathing, beauteous woman,
Grasping a conscience that is his?
In both hearts the anticipation surely grew.
