It was yet another day of school, since I never sleep the days and nights seem to run together. This particular day would be somewhat special, a new student at our small town school. I would have to make sure she didn't suspect any thing wrong or different with our family, as usual.

"Edward, don't forget about Isabella Swan." Alice reminded me as I drove my 'brothers' and 'sisters' to school.

Emmett and Rosalie were all over each other in the back seat with poor Jasper sitting beside them with a unforgiving look on his face, he would for sure get them back for this. Alice was in the passengers seat, "Alice how could I forget?" I sighed. Like protecting our secret would slip my mind.

As I pulled in my usual parking spot and we all got out, Alice skipped over to me "Just checking." she smiled as she turned and headed to her class.

"You would know." I said smugly Alice knew just about everything.

She giggled, Yup.

I didn't pay much attention to my classes, I was too preoccupied with the Swan girl. While searching the other students minds I came to the conclusion she didn't like being called Isabella, she preferred Bella.

I didn't have her in any of my morning classes, but I would see her at lunch. I met up with Emmett and Jasper outside the lunch room.

"You see the new girl yet?" Emmett asked.

"No, have you?" I replied.

"Nah uh, but I sure hope she's a hottie." he smiled.

"You better not let Rosalie hear you talk like that. If you piss me off I might tell her myself." his smile faded.

A wicked smile came across my face, because I could hear her coming. I turned my head in her direction, Emmett's head turned also.

He punched me in my arm, "You better not." he growled at me, I shrugged I would get him back soon enough.

She asked what was going on and Emmett played it off, we headed in the lunch room. We sat as far away from the other humans as possible, it made it easier for Jasper, he was the newest at being a 'vegetarian' vampire. I scanned the room as we sat down but the girl wasn't there yet. I didn't pay attention when she walked in and sat down but I did hear my name called and I looked up.

Great she like's Edward, "He doesn't think anybody is good enough for him." it was Angela Webber, I smiled.

I looked over at the girl who was sitting next to her, it was quiet. I got nothing from her. People's thoughts usually sounded like their human voices, but sitting next to Angela was just silence, I couldn't help but stare. She looked up at me and I looked back curious, she dropped her head and I looked away.

I focused harder on the girl sitting there but I continuously got nothing from her, it was maddening.

"What is she saying about us?" Emmett asked too fast for the human ears to hear.

"Nothing original, she doesn't think your scary at all." I said with a slight smirk.

I could hear the planning in his head to scare the hell out of at least one human today, I shook my head at him.

All through lunch I tried to focus on the new girl but I got nothing from her, maybe if I just got close enough I could hear her. Just then the lunch bell rang and I was headed off to biology class.

I got to my class and took my seat and started to hull out my books and get ready for another boring class I've heard before. Just before the final bell rang some one walked in the class and before I could look up my throat was on fire. My head flew up to look in the face of Bella Swan, I wanted her and I wanted to kill her now.
