Chapter 1: Mystery navi
The net, a place where net navis roamed freely, normally crowded, it was currently desert. The mere sight of it was scary.
Katia walked along the empty corridors of the net, anyone else would have been scared to walk in the net without a navi protecting them, especially with all the viruses in that area, but she found it particularly pleasant, she didn't enjoy being with her navi.
She had a good reason though; her navi was a standard one, whenever she took it with her the only way she could talk to it was if she asked him about the surroundings, any other thing was answered with "I don't understand".
She glanced at her surroundings, it was a simple corridor. It was incredible to see a human in the cyberworld, she had designed a special device which sent her brainwaves to the net, she smiled at the thought.
She searched the area again, not a soul in sight. She had been looking for her the last five hours. Often Katia would encounter a navi, she was moving today, to Dentech City, and she didn't want to leave without telling her…
Her PET beeped, she took it out, "Miss Katia," the navi said, "It is getting late, if you stay any longer you may not have enough energy to proceed according to schedule" Katia sighed, "Ok, I'll log out in a few minutes", her navi nodded " Understood".
Katia looked sadly at the net, she couldn't find her, she had never told Katia her name, but what most intrigued her was a particular sentence she had said, "If we meet again you probably won't remember me." What did she mean? She had a very good memory; she didn't easily forget things, especially important ones like this.
Her PET beeped again, she checked the radar, something was near, she headed towards the area.
A few minutes later, she noticed a figure walking towards her, a navi, her eyes widened, it was limping, "Excuse me" she called out, the navi looked up for a moment, then it collapsed.
Katia ran to check on the navi, it had red armor, his helmet had a beautiful green gem, his wrists were almost destroyed, and blood was oozing from some of his wounds, although some of them were still datafied and didn't bleed. Katia activated her PET, she had to help him, "Navi" she called, a voice answered her from her PET, "What are your orders Miss Katia?" the navi asked, "Transport the navi beside me to my HP, start repairs as soon as he arrives" the navi nodded "Understood, do you wish to be logged out as well?" She shook her head; the navi nodded again "Understood". The red navi was instantly logged out.
Kati stood up, she headed towards her warp point. This navi needed help, and she couldn't do it in the net, but she didn't want to waste energy from her server either, it needed every ounce of energy for this task, she made her way to the server, whispering a soft apology to her friend…..
