Little 6 year old Shun meets 6 year Alice at a park

Shun POV

I was sitting in a tree eating ice cream at the park waiting for my mommy. I see another girl there playing under the tree I was sitting on oblivious to my presence. From what I can tell she has orange hair and big brown eyes. I look at her as she sat down and started picking flowers doing something to them.

I leaned over to see better but a drop of ice cream landed on her arm. She looked startled and looked up. I watched her intently waiting for her to run away or scream. But she stared at me with those eyes. They were deep pools of brown and I was just staring.

When she smiled at me I had a funny feeling in my tummy like butterflies were in it. I look strangely at my ice cream but I had a thought that the food wasn't it She said in a gentle voice "What's your name?" I look at her and say, "Sh-shun." When did I ever stutter?

She said, "My name is Alice." Then she looked at me in a confused way. "How did you get up there?" she asked. I jumped down and said,"I climbed." She looked amazed. "You climbed all the way up there?!"

I say "yup all by myself!" She looked worried "weren't you afraid of falling?" I blush at her for being so caring and say, "when it's your first time then yeah but then you get you'd get used to it."

I look over to the pile of flowers and ask, "What's that?" She blushed a cute shade of pink. I did not just say cute! She glanced around nervously as I had my inner battle. I broke out of my trance as she began speaking. "I was just making a flower necklace," she said nervously twiddling her fingers. I walk over to it to see that it was almost done.

"How do you do that?" I asked. She sat back down and grabbed the flowers showing me the way she did it. She began to weave the flowers together at a slow pace then picking up speed. I feel a cold drip on my hand and see the ice cream melting. I lick it and turned back to Alice just to see that she was done.

I stare bewildered and she looked at me saying, "And now it's done!" When she saw my face she giggled and put the flowers around my neck. I look at her and then gave her my ice cream. She smiled and began to lick it. When she was done there was some ice cream on her cheek.

Before I could realize what I was doing I lean over and lick her cheek. She turned bright red at my actions and so did I after I realize what I did.

"I-uh-um-err-you" I started stuttering like crazy. She giggled still red and said "it's okay." I hear someone call out a name "Alice!" She looked over and said, "That's my grandfather." I frown knowing she has to go.

She gets up pushes the edge of my lip to form a smile and gave me a quick peck on the cheek and said, "I'll be here tomorrow!" Before I could say anything she ran off to her grandfather. I touch the cheek feeling warm fuzzies in my tummy and hear someone walk over. "How was your day Shun?" my mommy asked. "It wasn't the worst day of my life." I reply. More like the best!
