The story starts during Naruto and sasuke battle on the roof of the hospital
I will be skipping the main events of the final valley battle
Naruto will have the curse mark instead of sasuke

Chapter one: Where our paths divert
Hospital roof Hidden Leaf Village
General POV
Naruto and sasuke are standing apart from one another facing each other sasukes the first to speak "well are you gonna put on your leaf headband". Naruto just stares at him and replies, "i won't need it you won't be able to even touch my forehead". Don't act so arrogant you're nothing but a dobe you won't best me in a hundred years". "Don't mock me sasuke" at this naruto charged at sasuke creating a dozen kage bushin. Sasuke then charged he destroy the clones, then they entered a battle of taijutsu until they back away from each other. Sasuke shouts at him " you'll never beat me you're nothing but a demon!" Naruto looked hurt and performed a kage bushin and formed the rasengan at the same time sasuke formed the chidori.
Sakura POV
"Why do they always have to fight they always just hurt each other" i watch them until they both perform a jutsu. " i just can't watch any more NO STOP IT!"
General POV
Naruto and sasuke go for a final attack sasuke aiming for a non fatal point while naruto goes for his heart, but before they can strike kakashi stops them and narrows his eyes at naruto rasengan is that
"Were you trying to kill sasuke naruto i know that jutsu you used it shouldn't be used against a comrade from the leaf".
Naruto POV
Naruto scowls from kakashi words and jumps off the roof "he wouldn't understand what it's like to be hated why did snake teme give me the mark and not sasuke i don't care and i need more power even if it means giving up my body in the process".
