All her life Mia had heard stories of the eternal boy who lived in the old manor. Her mother told them to her. About how she had worked on him until her and the old inventor got into a fight. It had intrigued Mia. She had read all the 'books' her mother and the inventor had made to what they would do until Edward was finished. Mia stared at her mother's grave. She had died a year ago. Mia was only 17 when her mother died, it was her birthday. And today she visited again on her birthday. She laid the flowers down at her mother's grave. "I'm going to go see if he's still there. You know all those bad feelings you'd had all your life about him." She kissed her hand and placed it on her mother's grave. "I love you mommy." She whispered.

She got into her car failing to push back the tears that were now falling down her face. She turned on the radio. Loud. She pulled out a map and made her way to the old mansion.

Mia knocked on the door of the manor, loudly. She didn't feel fear, okay well maybe just a little. But her mom couldn't have created something evil. Could she? She waited a little while, patience not being a virtue God had granted her with, and then pushed the door open. "Edward?" She said not to loudly feeling a little bit more fear, mostly because she had watched to many horror movies.

She made her way to the top room. Her mom had said Edward loved it there. She went up the stairs wondering why anyone would make them this long. "Edward…" She said as she reached the room. "I'm Mia, Marie's daughter. She's told me so many stories of you. I wanted to meet you." She heard the sound of metal in the corner. It sounded like scissors. She turned and saw a man there. "Edward. I won't hurt you." She said slowly making her way to him.

Edward made his way out of the darkness just a little. Mia saw his hands and gasped. Edward turned away. "Oh I'm sorry. Mom just made it sound like you were finished." As he turned back and made his way towards her, she had to hold back another gasp. Her mom had always talked about an 'eternal boy' but this wasn't a boy. He was practically a man.

"How is Marie?" Edward said softly.

Mai sighed. "She died last year." She said seeing obvious hurt in Edwards eyes.

"You look like her." Edward said. He felt incredibly self-conscious about his hands. He knew Marie must have told her wonderful stories. He had always had so much fun with her.

Mia went over to him. "Edward let me see your hands." She said gently taking his arm by the wrist and looking at his hands. She let it go softly and then looked into her messenger bag. She pulled out a book and opened it to a page of a complete Edward. "Edward would you like hands?" She asked softly.

Edward looked from his hands to Mia. "I'd like that a lot." He said still in his soft voice.

"I can't make you a promise but I might be able to fix it." Mia smiled at him. She like his eyes. They were so soft and caring.
