How Hawky Came Back
Sokka was sitting on a large rock next to Katara, waiting for Toph to come back from teaching Aang earthbending. He laid back and watched the clouds roll by, thinking of his favorite metalbender. Suddenly, a small shape appeared; it looked like a medium sized bird. He sat up, hoping for the millionth time that it was his long-lost bestest bird buddy.
He looked for a little longer until the bird came swooping down and landed on his arm. "Hawky!" he yelled, nearly squeezing the life out of the animal in a huge hug. "Oh I missed ya, buddy! I won't ever, ever, EVER send you away again, ever!"
"Sokka, isn't that what messenger-hawks are for?" pondered Katara.
"So? Maybe I just want to keep him as a pet ," said Sokka, jutting his chin out.
"Ok, Sokka, do whatever you want," replied Katara as she closed her eyes and laid back on the rock. Sokka gave Hawky a very old hawk-treat that he had saved for this very occasion. The bird politely choked it down and hopped up to Sokka's shoulder affectionately. The two awesome bros were never parted again.
