Looking out the window she knew that she was about to open a new can of worms. She looked over at the door, all her bags were packed. She had said it before but this time she intended to follow through, she was leaving for good. She had followed him to New York so he could pursue his basketball career and so she could pursue a dream of her own, her fashion line. Brooke loved Lucas and it seem like he loved her, at first. She was always afraid that she was his backup plan, his rebound girl. Peyton had crushed him by picking her music career over him and when she did Brooke and Lucas some how found each other again. She let him in, again, she knew better, and now she was alone.
Every night he was out, every morning he would walk in with the smell of perfume on his clothes and liquor on his breathe. She had lost him and she didn't know how to find her way back.
She heard the door crack and the sound of someone stumbling over her bags.
"Fuck" he had defiantly been drinking
"Brooke, what the heck are all these bags doing in front of the door?!"
She slowly emerged from the back room, when she saw him what was fear of him grew into angry.
Nothing ever changes
"I'm leaving…" she waited for a response, one that maybe showed that he cared
"Get me some beer on your way out would you..." he stumble his way passed her
"You don't understand… I want a divorce"
"Ha ha ha, you're a hell of a comedian when you wanna be"
"Luke, I serious I'm done; I'm tired of living this way"
"Like what darling? Living like kings? It can be exhausting" he said as he rummaged through the fridge for beer
"LUKE! Are you even fucking listening to me?!"
"So babe, did you get that beer yet?" Lucas stumbled across the kitchen searching each cabinet as if beer was just going to appear.
"I haven't even fucking left yet!"
"Rigghhttt…so when you gonna get on that?"
"Lucas…Luke…baby…" Brooke ran over to him, grabbed his face in her hands and tired to force his gaze upon hers
"Please…baby please"
tears were running down her cheeks, she had to try one more time, she had to see if she saw even a glimpse of the Lucas Scott she feel in love with.
"I want you to love me…" Brooke whispered, she was trying hard to keep his gaze but he was completely drunk, he had no attention span.
"That's…nice" he pushed himself away from her
Brooke stood there knowing that no matter how much she would beg, it would never change.
"Lucas I need you right now, don't you understand that?" she waited for a response
"Brooke, Brooke, Brooke…you smell like sugar plums and grilled cheese sandwiches"
"What?!"
"You remind me of someone…don't tell my wife"
"Luke I AM your wife!"
"Oh…Brooke, when you get here? Did you get the beer?"
This can not be happening
"You're kidding me right?"
"Bud…Bud…Buddddd… lite"
"I'm leaving" Brooke couldn't believe that he was so drunk off his ass that he couldn't realize that she was actually leaving him.
Brooke made her way door the stairs of they're apartment building and haled a taxi as she got in she could hear the drunken screams of Lucas above.
"Brooke! Have a nice trip, don't forget me!" he waved idiotically out the window.
"I can never forget you Luke; I'm carrying your child…"
Brooke looked down at her stomach, how could she have made such a stupid mistake.
This Luke wasn't suppose to be the father of her child, she didn't want her life to be play out like this.
