The bus has almost reached the city, and Rei doesn't know exactly how or why, but he knows that there's something in the air tonight, something in his blood. Something that makes him feel alive, and it's just the type of night for this. Something's about to happen, because it's just that type of night…
The bus rolls on.
His first night down from the hills, and he feels like a shooting star, finally reached the earth.

It dawns on him that he could do anything he likes. No one knows him here. No one can tell him what to do, or what to feel. It dawns on him that as soon as he reaches his destination, everything could fall apart, or everything he could ever wish for could be right there, waiting. Beyond the cold glass of the window, the bright lights of the city shine, and Rei thinks they must be all the other shooting stars, shinning brighter on the ground than they ever did in the sky. Rei has the clothes on his body, a twenty in his pocket, a bus ticket in his hand, and the kind of night that changes a life.
