The New Regime

What would of happened if Voldemort had won? Follow the escape and hiding of Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and George as they try to outwit Voldemort as England's biggest manhunt begins and keep young Teddy Lupin alive.

Harry was lying on the floor of the giant tent that he had used only two nights ago. Those two nights could have been years, it sure felt like it. Over the past two days Harry had faced Voldemort and neither had died, Fred had died as well has Lupin, Tonks and countless others. As Teddy's godfather Harry had felt compelled to take care of him and somehow they had managed to rescue him.

Teddy was lying fast asleep in a makeshift cot next to Ginny, who was lying on the bottom bunk of the bunk beds. Harry sat up and walked outside, Hermione was on guard with George. Both turned as they heard the tent flap open, George smiled a bit waved for Harry to come over. They were in the woods where the Quidditch world cup had been all those years ago, it seemed like an eon ago.

"Couldn't sleep?" George asked

"No, I haven't slept well since we left."

"None of us have, I think." George said

The tent flap opened again and Ron came out with Teddy in his arms and Ginny right behind. They looked surprised to see everyone else outside "Well, that sums up that." George said and smiled. Even after the death of his twin brother he had stayed happy and kept everyone laughing.

"What?" Ron asked

"None of us can sleep, obviously, or at least not for long." Hermione said

Ron nodded and sat down next to her passing Teddy to Harry who held the little baby in his arms. His hair was blue for now; he had inherited his mother's metamorphmagious abilities but he had also inherited his father's werewolf genes. His eyes were yellow on a full moon and his teeth were more pointed then a normal human. Teddy was fast asleep in Harry's arms and the slow calm breathing of the infant made everyone go quiet. It was like being put in a trance, they all just listened and looked at the baby. He would never know his parents but it was quite a burden having to look after themselves and a baby.

Outside the calm quite of the tent and spells surrounding it there was England's biggest manhunt going on for the 5 of them. No one knew of Teddy Lupins disappearance, at least not yet.

One by one they all drifted back inside except for Harry and Ginny who took up watch. Harry turned to Ginny "What are we going to do?"

She looked at him here golden brown eyes looking into his green ones, she leaned forward a kissed him. Then pulled back "I don't know Harry, I really don't know."

They sat until the golden sun peaked the crest of the hill and Ron came out they would be staying here for another day or so before they moved to another location.
