A/N I intended this to be one chapter, and it is. And this will be a little on the quick side...

Demoman was in the run-down, dilapidated building that he called home after leaving his mother. He only used one room, which contained a pile of blankets as a bed, a camping stove, a table and chair, and a television. His weapons were piled in one of the corners. Watching the late news, he found that a tenth pair of mangled hands, belonging to a businessman, had been found in Pine Hill. And when a pair of mangled hands had been found, they found the body shortly afterwards, riddled with shotgun pellets. The news report stated that the unpredictable killer had not been identified, and that the population of Pine Hill was becoming scared.

Little did Demoman know, but he would be the one who apprehended the merciless killer.

After drinking the sorrow away with scrumpy, Demoman drank to forget why he was drinking in the first place. Demo went to the blankets, and slept for several hours, until his slumber was broken when Medic came around with some rather pressing information. Demoman's illegitimate son, Tristan DeGroot, had gone missing.

Going to Tristan's apartment, Demoman and Medic found nothing out of the ordinary apart from one thing. A BLU briefcase. Opening it, they found lots of typed papers, detailing the deaths of all the murder victims so far. One however, was different. It described that they wanted one million dollars by the following day for Tristan to be released, and this had to be left outside Demoman's house in the briefcase.

Demoman looked at Medic, who stated that they should both pay half the ransom, with his main argument being that they had enough money anyway. This was quickly done, and Demoman and Medic went their different ways, with Medic saying that he would visit the following day to see if Tristan had been released.

At his home, Demoman drank an excessive amount of alcohol, before going to sleep. The following morning, he found that Tristan was in his home with him.

"Ah, so you're alright then." said Demoman.

"I am. Thanks for the million dollars." replied Tristan.

"What?" asked Demoman, who was still waking up.

"It was a cunning plan I had. I knew that if I asked you for the money, you wouldn't let go of it. Therefore, I faked the deaths using a disguise kit and the Dead Ringer I bought from Mann Co., and with the help of one of my friends, of course. All I needed to do to get the million dollars off you was to disappear, leaving the BLU briefcase on my apartment."

"I'll see you in HELL!" shouted Demoman, who started chasing Tristan.

Medic was walking to Demoman's house, when he passed Demoman, who was close behind Tristan.

"I take it that Tristan is okay, and that everything is back to normal." assumed Medic, who turned around and went back to his surgery.
