Boy oh boy, I am excited that you clicked here! This chapter is short, I will admit, but I assure you this will be one long story (hopefully 100+ chapters) that contains everything (and more). By everything, I mean DLC's, mods and random things I oh so happen to think of. Please, enjoy, follow, review, and if you actually truly do like this story? Favorite. Thank you, and may the Divines bless you kind heart! (See what I did there? Heh heh, I'm just playing!)
The air smelled of mildew and clouded around Kalari's head like a thick bought of fog. Stone walls surrounded her, a small torch lit on a corner by the cell door.
"What?" She muttered, baffled and confused. Hobbling of off the small cot she resided on, she peered around her surroundings. 'Dark and empty' she concluded, ignoring the out-of-place statue sitting between a table and bookcase. Walking up to the gate, Kalari grasped the wrought iron bars and rattled the door, yelling, trying to have her voice stretch down the hall, ignoring how dry and parched it felt. No response.
"Crap." Hobbling around some more, her stomach clenching in hunger, she realized her state of condition. Her long auburn hair was matted and tangled, caked with dirt, the ragged prison attire dirty and frayed, and she could tell malnutrition was working it's way onto her body. Turning back around, she walked over to the abnormal statue, a confused look present on her. Peering at it further got her to recognize it, "Mara! But why?"
"Approach my child, and choose where your new life shall begin."
Kalari jumped back, eyes wide in shock and confusion clouding her face, "huh?"
"Approach my child, and choose where your new life shall begin."
"Wh- wha-... Hold on just a minute! I don't know what your going on about!"
"Leaving your life to chance? So be it."
Realizing the statue was not planning on continuing, she pleaded, "no no NO WAIT! Help me! Please!" However Mara ceased to speak.
Hours passed and no one came to her cries, soon her voice was hoarse and raw, hair still matted and dirty, eyes sore and tired, and her body craving a meal. Curled on the moss covered floor, eyes eyeing the small cot perched atop the small platform on the far corner, her body began to rise, and she drifted subconsciously over to it. Falling in a heap, her eyes fell shut and the consistent shaking her body was in stalled to a stop.
