Fae can't sleep again she tosses and turns in her blankets. She can't go another night without sleep. Sebastian goes to check on his kitten. She knows he can't be fooled so don't even try to fake sleeping. She just turns over and looks at him.
"Can't sleep?" asks Sebastian
"No" says Fae
"Here let me help you" says Sebastian
"How? I've counted sheep. Walked around the house. I've exercised. Read a story. I just can't sleep!" she says, frustrated
"Easy kitten" says Sebastian
She takes a deep breath and nods.
"S-sorry. " says Fae
"Nothing to be sorry about, doll. I'll be right back. Promise." says Sebastian
He leaves leaving her confused giving up on sleep once again. He goes down to the kitchen and makes her a cup of hot milk. He doesn't know how well it'll work but it's worth a shot. He also remembers that she once commented how soothing his heartbeat is. She loves listening to his heartbeat.
"Hmm" says Sebastian, more to himself.
He finishes making the milk and lets it cool a bit before returning to her.
"Whatever it is. Just never mind, Sebastian. I appreciate but it won't work." says Fae, giving up
"Will you at least try?" asks Sebastian
"Sigh. Yes." says Fae
"Good." says Sebastian.
He sets the cup down, climbs in bed with her setting her into his lap holding her close and gives her the cup. She drinks it curious knowing it's hot she takes slow sips until it's finished.
"Yummy" says Fae
"I'm glad" says Sebastian
She yawns and snuggles into Sebastian, laying her head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. He wraps a blanket around her and cuddles her. She sighed relaxing, it's a rare treat to hear Sebastian sing but tonight he sings just for her. A nice loving lullaby, half way through it she's out. He smiles and pecks her on the cheek.
"Good night, kitten. I love you" says Sebastian before drifting off himself
