As with millions of others im a hugefan of your music abd the music of the Beatles.John Lennon: Well my dear love, it sure was something now wasnt it ? We said to ourselfs ' Hope it will last a few years. ' Never thought it would be all this.Reporter: Ok, now I'm dying to ask about The Beatles reunion. How did it start and how did you fill recording again with the others. Are there plans to work together more and are there any plans to go out on tour?John Lennon: Well I think it was Paul who called me. He was in New York City and asked if could drop by and visit. You know, always the polite oneThe next daye he got there. He had his guitar with him. So w just sat on tbe floor smokig , drinking tea and pkayed some Beatle stuff. You know, for Paul and me it was always easy to work, write together. I woud sing or play something, then Paul would do the same. Id tell him Na , thats rubbish, take that out put tbis in. You know give and take milk and honey.Paul felt at ease he told me him and Linda were going to disband WINGS later that year when the contracts expired. He was working with Ringo, David Edmonds, Denny Lane on a project. He was planning on creating a band from them.They already cut and released a single ' SO BAD'. So I started thinking he already had Ringo and George was in the studio with me on my new work, Why not just do what we have in front of us. The four of us were in groups of two and Paul and I are now working together again. We had 4 new ' LENNON/McCartney songs .So we all four showed up at the HIT FACTORY here in New York City. We spent almost two weeks in the studio.To hide this from the press , we were booked in as
CHEEP TRICK. No one had a clue. Also with the small staff in the studio , we told them if it leaked out, we would cancel everything. And they would be blamed f Fi r no BEATLES reunion.
