Note: This poem is almost a semi-sequel to my short fic L'Enfer (which I really liked), and for the pedantic amongst you, the switch between first and third person narratives is intentional!
FALL
By JetNoir
Thou shalt not fall,
into thou greater darke,
from Infinity to L'Enfer,
Thou shalt not fall.
Commend thee to,
ye greatest of lights,
forgive, repent, atone,
for all thou hast done.
Thy screaming,
crying,
gnashing of teeth,
these memories,
dragged from below.
Will thou push thy,
rock, hands bloodied,
all the way to the very top,
for it to fall, and start again.
Oh, woe is thee,
for thy infamy,
and all thou did against me.
Thou shalt not fall,
a gaze across Eternity,
I wave, thou wave, then,
we walk away.
Never to see the other again,
and I am alone.
And fall.
